Right now, he looks like he should be on an ELC.

So I'm pretty sure this stretch proves that Brodie is our best player...
...I'm only half-kidding.

Going to be honest though, the most concerning thing to me right now is Giordano's play.
His new contract doesn't even start until next season.

Brad and Bob need to clean this up quickly or we will be talking draft by Christmas.

Don't get me wrong the goaltending has been crap, but is it a "3 headed monster"? As far as i'm concerened its a 2 headed monster and a guy eating popcorn. Up until tonight i'm not convinced that Hiller and Ramo were looking at Ortio as competition. I think they were competing against each other for starter role and both failed. Hell Ortio has not even been a back-up for a game.
Maybe going forward it will now be a 3 headed monster. Have to think Ortio gets the start on Friday. Right now Hartely needs some sort of spark from somebody. I doubt bringing in Raymond will be the answer. Lets all hope its Ortio.

Goalie situation needs to be resolved Pronto. Neither Hiller nor Ramo are this bad.
Hamilton needs to sit a game, and there are some forwards who could stand to watch for a bit too.
BT should be on the horn to Columbus to see if there's a fit there somewhere.
And Hartley should be blistering the walls in the dressing room. These 2nd periods are all down to effort.

What we really need right now is that for as terrible as we have been, hopefully there is a complete opposite streak in this team and we go on a 5 or 6 game win streak. Hockey is a strange game, and stranger things have happened.

I have to admit, I totally expected a step back this year (the first quarter at least) but they look like hot sick out there.
...blech. Turn it around boys.

Yeah, and that was part of the cost associated with not drafting and developing him ourselves.
If you want to rip our young, promising d-man apart because you have no patience as a fan, then enjoy the long road ahead.
The negativity around a young, very promising d-man after 6 bloody games in unbearable. Relax, this is all a process.

Yea, that could be bad, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He just came off some pretty major surgery and has shown some good flashes at times. I'm sure he's just rusty.

everyone looks like crap out there with the exception of Gaudreau. Monahan has looked pretty solid as well. Hamilton, Giordano, Bennett, Backlund, Hudler have all been noticeably bad. The worst part of this season is the team is being outworked and outplayed by every opponent

This team looks exactly like the last two years of Eakins Oilers. Except they actually got some goals.
Absolutely nothing to be happy about sans God

He's being paid to be the top pairing guy by the end of that contract. He definitely isn't one right now.
Right now he needs to play on the lower pairings and improve his defense, like Brodie did at the same age. Sitting him isn't the answer either.
