Mangiapane always impresses me.
Also this Simpson goalie made some ridiculous saves, ends 2-0 for Red/McDonald. I didn't get to see the goals.

The two goals were I believe Brodie banking it in off the goalie and Jooris setting up Agostino for a tap in. Kent Simpson looked good in the shutout.
Gaudreau looks better than he did and he was great before.

These Gaudreau looking better comments are hard to not get excited about but I keep remembering that most of the players on the ice are not NHL caliber. Still, it's a good sign that he has shown up, ready to go.
Is it October yet?

Some guys who impressed me:
Johnson - has a definite chance to make the team. Physical, good skater, poised. Really liked him on first viewing.
Colborne - Does look bigger. Good puck protection.
Mangiapane - A waterbug. Great draft pick. Could end up exceeding expectations. Dangerous with the puck.
Kylington - Showed his escapability a few times, his skating is just absurd. Will be exciting to see how he progresses.
As mentioned, Backlund line was the best line. Gaudreau was Gaudreau. Brodie, Brodie.
Engelland - Still a black hole, unfortunately (exoected nothing but...) He just doesn't have puck skills and he and Brodie were pinned a lot, which is silly given his partner is in the top-30 of all NHL defencemen.
Granlund - Wanted to see more. Continues to underwhelm. Ditto Shore and Poirier.
I'll write a little more later.

Johnson? Who is that? Sounds more like the guy in the red shirt from Star Trek.

Aaron Johnson - journeyman vet? I think haha.
Although I've realized that I was watching Wotherspoon a lot and got the two confused. Wotherspoon looked quite good and now I can't differentiate my opinions of the two. Haha

Instead of posting a list of cuts, they should tell the players being cut that they've made Team Erixon.

My guess its the drills, media types were saying Gio is 100% healthy.

That's what I heard as well. Group C though is doing a completely different set of drills than A and B which were shot heavy. Probably nothing to be concerned about. Just something that I'll be keeping an eye on.
