Another Alberta Emergency Alert update.

At 1:20 PM a rotating severe thunderstorm is just to the south of the Glenmore reservoir moving east at 30 km/h. There is currently not a tornado on the ground however this storm could still produce a tornado in the next 30 minutes. Communities in the path include: the southwest Calgary neighbourhoods of Canyon Meadows and Lake Bonavista.

Looks bleak to the south, but in the NW there is nothing but some far off lightning and bit of rain.

Default Calgary Tornado Warning

I'm in blackfalds and hearing 30-40+ second thunder rumbles.

Last night around 7pm at work, j got some cool time lapse vids of some nasty clouds spinning overhead that ended up dumping some crazy hail and Ton of rain.

My oarents are vacationing in the US, but my cousin texted me this when she went to check their acreage for hail damage..

Yeah, I can try. Winds are slowly starting to pick up right now and a lot of rumbling.

Was on my way home to work from home (save car from potential hail damage by parking it in my parkade) and saw what I thought was a funnel beginning, decided to drive up to nose hill and get some pretty decent pics for a iPhone, Caution large photos. haha:

^^^ Holy s***!

Hope nobody got hurt. I imagine one of those hail stones to the head would be fatal.

I'm seeing pictures of multiple different funnel clouds around the city and HUGE hail down south... bigger than golf ball size.

Yes, that's the best place to hide from a tornado.
