The issue is, will anyone remember this? If people could look past soundbites they wouldn't be used so often.

I read that article.
The guy who writes it spends 3 pages attacking him personally. When he isn't doing that he's attacking him for (gasp) being a republican. Hell, he even tossed in a Palin reference to try and smite him further.

My favorite part of this "expert journalist" was his @gmail account to contact him.

I'd say that would be the equivalent of me citing Ezra Levant on Justin Trudeau, but based upon that article, Levant is more credible than this guy.

Do you disagree that the excerpt from the interview was not hilariously vacuous and showed a politician who had no concrete view or opinion on what he was soundbiting?

Granted, Forbes is a notorious left-leaning media hitsquad, so there's that.

I find the article to be so slanted from the outset that I suspect any quote is heavily slanted or framed in the least positive light possible. I see little value in articles like this one way or the other.

The same excerpt is there.

Or the video at 4:26?

the guy is a moron and he deserves to be mocked.

I'm sorry if I offended you, or any other Americans on this site. I've worked with Americans for over 8 years. I went to an American school as a kid. I have a lot of American friends.

But, you can't tell me I'm wrong. Anyone that has been educated, can tell that what is happening in the United States, is ridiculous. The very fact Trump was even accepted into the Republican party is a farce, let alone now being a leading contender. Trump's experience, correct me if I'm wrong, is buying and selling real estate and various other businesses, and then running a tv show which has devolved from normal people to celebrity only and is akin to watching something like the Bubble Guppies on Treehouse.

Now Americans feel this is a legitimate candidate to run the country? This fact is just symbolic, as stated earlier, of how bad it has gotten down there.

Sorry, I must be missing something here.

at 4:26 he goes through some direct (and very effective) questions from the reporter about Syria. he responds by saying that he thinks that the US should be taking a stronger approach with ISIS, and eventually says that he would not rule out American and other nation's troops on the ground to fight ISIS.

And that makes him a moron?

I can't say I disagree with him.

On the immigration question, that's one I wish the reporter had pushed for more details on. She let him off the hook. I think he had more to say but they moved on to him vs Hilary.

Again, I don't think the guy is a moron or a flake. I think what he is, is unpopular amongst the left and left leaning political types because he is (likely) currently the most successful politician when it comes to taking on unions.

The article and this report does nothing but confirm my opinon that when it comes to Walker, I think the leftists are jaded.

You are missing something. The fact that his "big plan" is the same thing that has been happening and that he said nothing substantive. It's easy to just say "we need to be aggressive", it's meaningless. No troops are stepping foot in that hell hole. He really has no idea what he'd do.

He'd be forgiven by the left if his ideas worked but they don't. He's unpopular because the Wisconsin economy is lousy.

Quote:
Even just a glance at economic metrics in Wisconsin tells a story of stifled job growth, ballooning deficits, and a shrinking middle class.
When looking for reasons why Walker may have failed so miserably at creating jobs in Wisconsin, the obvious place to look would be his flagship job creation agency: The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). WEDC, which Walker chaired, gave out taxpayer-funded loans to hundreds of companies in the hopes of spurring growth. But the jobs Walker promised never materialized. Instead, in an epic display of mismanagement, WEDC lost track of millions of dollars in loans, gave awards to ineligible businesses, and has generally been a poor steward of taxpayers’ money.
Quote:
In terms of job growth, Wisconsin has consistently trailed the national average. In fact, Wisconsin only saw 1.5 percent private-sector job growth in 2014. Unfortunately for Wisconsinites, while this is the best job creation number Walker has seen throughout his entire time in office, it lags far behind the national growth rate of 2.6 percent.
But none of this should come as a surprise. Instead of fulfilling his promise to create jobs, Walker has chosen to prioritize attacking public workers and teachers. All this did was create a culture of polarization that has divided his state to the core.
How big a failure have Walkernomics been? Just look next door at Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton’s Minnesota, which leads Wisconsin in almost every economic indicator.

I'm most dissapointed that Hillary will be the candidate for the democrats, I just wish a candidate like Sanders actually had a chance considering his stances are ones that the majority of people support.

I watched the entire 1 hour 8 minute video of Trump and his speech in Arizona....and did not find him to be offensive to Mexicans even once....even though he criticized illegal immigrant populations...he outlined the following multiple times:

1) Mexican government is pushing troubled Mexicans into the US..these individuals are gang members/criminals....the government itself is doing this.

2) The illegal immigrant problem isn't just from Mexico...the origin of people is all over central america and south america as well.

3) He loves the latin population, and their work ethic....employs thousands of those people.

4) he has a problem with the mexican government....and even then its not their fault ...because the fault is squarely on the shoulders of the US government because they are stupid and get out-maneuvered by the mexican government....

5) He said that he has an issue with ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.....and a solution to that would be to make LEGAL IMMIGRATION process faster and more efficient.....says he loves immigrants as the entire US is in essence...a country of immigrants.

I don't know where people are getting this racist crap from....the media articles and quotes are really out of context and manipulation at its finest by the media....

Say what you want about Trump and his policies....but I don't see a racist individual here or someone who is against the latin population....

I thought Donald Trump was an idiot before watching this video....but honestly....I am half-impressed by his speech...makes a lot of sense...

he seems to be cutting the crap, talking candidly, and beating the crap out of every politician out there. love it just for entertainment alone.

I don't know man.....a candidate like this hasn't ever ran for president....atleast I don't know of one.....the guy has a worth of like $8 billion.....Obviously he needed to be intelligent to get there...I don't understand why people think some random politician is more qualified than him to run the country...To be honest...I would vote Warren Buffet into office if I had the choice....but whatever.

End point: Stop reading the headlines and 2 minute clippings, and actually watch the ENTIRE speech before coming to a conclusion. Mass media has been severely misleading regarding his viewpoints.

^ Let's just start with the most obvious question: is there even a shred of evidence to support Trump's totally implausible allegation that illegal immigrants crossing the border are almost entirely bad people? Or is there a shred of evidence to support Trump's also totally implausible allegation that the Mexican government is (either overtly or covertly) abducting its own citizens and somehow deporting them illegally into the United States?

He's said what he's said and now Trump's doing a bunch of damage control, that's all it is. Being worth $8B could mean he's not bought off too easily but otherwise it doesn't mean much as far as being a statesman goes.

He had a pretty good head start with a $200 million dollar starter from his father and all the advantages of being a rich child affords. Most of the money his dad built up came from government funding through the federal housing authority in the 30's and 40's. Which is a bit funny given Trump's supposed hate of government money....

And Donald of course magically became president of his father's organization in 1974....which he ran into bankruptcy within 16 years. He "saved" the company by bringing it public but of course has gone through several bankruptcies including a couple that involved his personal money.

Given how he was set up in life it would be almost embarrassing if he wasn't on the Forbes top 500 list.

Also his current worth is estimated at ~$4 B. I know not what he he says it is but then again Turmp has a real big issue with telling the the truth it seems.

Also Fact checking Scott Walker:

Private sector job growth lags significantly behind the national average AND it is accompanied by significant erosion of public jobs. So much so that overall in 2014 the state lost 4200 jobs. His policies are not working and certainly are not working nearly as well as the state next door that took pretty much the opposite policies and ran with them. That was of course Governor Dayton in Minnesota the charmless, inarticulate but clearly extremely smart economically billionaire heir to the Target fortune.

lol Donald Trump, the meglomaniac which still says he's unsure of where Obama was born. The man who at the drop of a dime threatens to sue people, who's gone bankrupt 4 times...

Lets look at his "honesty"

Don't forget about the wall across the Mexican border that Mexico will pay for 100%.

And the many conflicts/wars that will be started in the Middle East. And Russia. And China.

Other than that, the guy is great.

1)He wants to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. How? His answer was "Oh they will"

2) He's going to beat ISIS by "taking away the oil" somehow as if no one has thought of that.

3) No one is better at war than him

Look, the guy's an idiot. Plain and simple
