We had a couple sets that didn't sell on our App last night. I told the sellers they were asking too much. As soon as they started lowering the prices, the tickets sold off except for a couple sets.

Bought tickets yesterday before the game off ticketsnow, $125 (plus fees) a piece (for game 4, Friday). Today, after that amazing win the same seats are worth $225 on that site. Glad I banked on a Flames win...

the difference in response between rounds, has been night and day. Last round I sold my tickets for an ungodly price with absolutely no problems and tons of responses and no loballers.
I put 2nd round tickets up for less than what i sold the first round and nothing. I can only suspect that because we didn't win any games, before last night, affected the response. Although I have decided to go to all games this round I have since received many inquiries about tickets and I'm sure if a game 6 happens, i could easily make a mint again.
It's all based on product and demand. Once the product goes hot then demand follows. simple formula.
FYI, Neeper, I forwarded all the people who inquired to TikTiks

Given the current state of the economy, for myself I am sure people are willing to pay premium prices to go see a flames game once and/or twice, but after that it's a lot harder to stomach. I remember trying to find tickets on ticketmaster in round 1 and you couldn't find anything side by side. Round two, there are a few of them available. There are only so many people in this city that can absorb paying ridiculous prices for tickets, and eventually you will start to see the seats become more and more empty if the prices remain the same as people will say 'ive been to one game this year, thats good enough for me'. The only way Ive been able to make it two two playoff games this year is because of the season ticket holder pricing... two home playoff games has cost me nearly half of what I paid for a quarter share of seasons tickets this year.

Just got notice in the mail for round three and four prices.
STH cost per ticket, in the whites, for round 3 is $138.53. I wonder what the face value will be.

That can't be right.
STH for my whites went from $75 for reg season to $103 for round 1 to $125 for round two. I have a hard time thinking it's going to more than double for round 3.
Are you sure that's not face value?

No they are not. They are $138.53 per seat per game. You are listing the price for your pair of seats.
Edit: Your mailout shows 2 pair of tickets per game, and assumes 4 home games per round as a default. Divide your $1,108.24 by 8, not 4, for your price per seat. The mailout should have done the math for you.

On one hand I can see how the Flames want to maximize revenue considering the Flames haven't been in the postseason since 2009. But gouging your loyal fanbase, who are equally playoff starved is bad form. The prices should go up with every playoff round, but they might have jumped the gun a bit in game three.

Assuming you mean round three, they didn't jump that much. csnarpy made an error.

I know when I was in 04 it was about a 15 percent jump from the original seat pricing, each round, the final round being a bit more than double. I was the highest section before louge. Is that green? Section 218, row 19. You know, with the Facepaint crew.
So this is bigger. Ideally it should be less. But this is a once in a lifetime thing. And scalpers are scrrwing it up for everyone.

@DarrenWHaynes: Ducks-Flames. Cheapest pair of lower bowl tickets right now (through StubHub):
- Game 4 in Calgary, $491 each
- Game 5 in Anaheim, $143 each

Lets put this in perspective, how much would you pay to see the LA Lakers here in Calgary? ah......well maybe i'd go if someone gave me a pair of tickets and free beer. Even if you had a local NBA team here in Calgary i doubt you get 100 dollars(CAD) for lower bowl on Stubhub. I think the Globetrotters were 75 dollars for floors and they did not even come close to a sellout.

I don't think comparing the Globetrotters and La Lakers is accurate. Globetrotters are similar to circus acts when they come to town. Lakers are the Montreal Canadians of NBA..

Yeah, I've seen crowdshots of Globetrotters games in major America Basketball markets and it looks exactly like the Dome, with just the lower bowl filled and smattering of fans in the second bowl.
