BOLD prediction time:

Flames lose the first two games at the pond, including a blow out.

However, their resiliency proves itself once again as they gain new life in front of the C of red and win 4 straight, including a game 5 victory on the pond, breaking the curse.

Two of the best third period teams in the league.

In the first round, when trailing after two periods, the Ducks were 3-0, and the Flames were 2-1.

In the regular season, Anaheim was 12-23-0 when trailing after 2, and the Flames were 10-20-4. Both teams only lost two games each when leading after two, fittingly, one of those losses for both was against the other.

All in all, I just want to see Kesler suffer. Still a massive D-bag to me and I want Ferland or Bouma when he gets back to Neutralize the turd.

We have a lot of depth on the team upfront, it's our defence that I think may give us some problems in this series the longer it goes.

Here's to hoping for a miracle Giordano appearance in game 5 when the series is tied 2-2.

Hopefully he's upped his intake of vegan powder.

Rihanna Kesler is going down!

(we can make exceptions when it comes to Kesler right?)

no idea what to expect of this series but I have the distinct feeling the Flames aren't done with their big game heroics yet. feels good to be one of the 2 canadian teams advancing. getting more of canada on our bandwagon like the last time we advanced to round 2. pretty awesome! can't wait to see our two headed monster in this series if Bouma comes back.

I am guessing Hughson and Simpson are this brackets leads. Unless they pull Ball over to call the Flames games now.

Some people think that's disparaging towards women and makes you look like a d-bag.

I, however, am wondering if Katy and Rihanna have ever had a duet

I doubt it will be Ball. It will likely either be Hughson/Simpson again, or Romanuk/Johnson.

Since it's not the Nucks, I hope it continues to be Hughson/Simpson. Romanuk hasn't been great this season, and Johnson seems to spend every game talking about the Flames not being able to continue doing what they do, and then being shocked when they do it again.

Whatever happens, I hope they keep Healy far away from any Flames games.

How can any flames fan have the ducks as their second favorite team????

I hate the ducks with a passion, would love nothing more then to see perry and getzlaf with stinky gloves in their face after every whistle and boo'ed whenever they touch the puck at the dome. I hope Ramo can give them a few blockers in the ass while hes at it.

Not a single player I like, lots of flames killers (watch out for that wank Maroon, thats the higgins type of player for them)....I actually think we have a good chance seeing as the great flames killers are retired or traded.(Selanne, Winnik, Marchant)... Flames need to do a job on...

Getzlaf
Perry
Maroon
Beauchemin
Cogliano

The only team i'd like to beat more then the canucks, would be the ducks.

Any chance that Giordano is back in for a part or all of this series? I know that there was talk about his coming back for round 3, if the Flames made it that far.

Said it before and I'll say it again, Jim Hughson is awesome when the Canucks aren't involved. As much crap as we gave him (and he did deserve it) he is a great play-by-play guy and I'd be happy with him in a non-Canucks setting.

As much as Gio wants to be back and as much as the team would KILL to have him back I just don't see how it would be a smart move to have him return from that sort of injury in the quickest amount of time possible.

Even round 3 is a stretch IMO.

With that said, if the doctors clear him there's no way he's out one second longer.

My preference is to keep him out until he's 100%. if that means the entire playoff run. so be it. We're going to need a healthy Gio next year and the year after and after that, no reason to ruin him for short term gain.

Flames against the top seed in the Conference? Bring it on... the C of Red awaits. The longer we can stretch the series, the more chances we'll have to steal one on the road.

We could get swept and I won't care. The Flames will be playing hockey in May for the first time in 11 years, that's all that matters
