If a player like Ferland got hurt in practice I can just imagine what some of canucks fan would say. I for one hope we can take the high rode. I dislike Burrows as a player, but genuinely hope its nothing too serious.

Hope it's not life threatening, I'd much rather he's taken away in a police cruiser.

Seems weird to be taken by ambulance for something like that, especially at playoff time when everyone is ultra-secretive about injuries.

Of course I have no idea, it just seems like a weird situation. He comes off the ice and yells help, then an hour later leaves in an ambulance.

Weird that wrist injury would require an ambulance.

Scary stuff.
Or it could be that his wrist was hurting

But he is still a human being off of it. The same could be said of Ferland by Nucks fans if the tables were reversed, and you would be chastising them for it.

You gotta take off the home team blinders sometimes.
Burrows has been suspended, has been called out by not only other teams but by refs, there is proof he bit a guy during a game and he's antics off the ice have been reported as questionable at times as well. Saying nuck fans can say the same about Ferland because he plays tough doesn't make sense. Burrows crosses the line quite often, Ferland doesn't.

I'm surprised by the amount of people coming to the aid of Burrows here, I agree that I don't want this to be anything life threatening but the guy is a #### and sooner or later is going to seriously hurt someone. The league would not only be better off without him, it would be more safe without him.

You never hope for an injury for another player. This does help the Flames out, as I think he led the game in shots last time out (maybe it was game 2). But an ambulance always comes as a reality check and reminds you that this is just a game. Hopefully he recovers.

Wow, that is always scary.
I dislike Burrows with the heat of a thousand suns, but I hope he is ok. There is more to life than hockey.
I would think it would be some sort of arrhythmia. Feeling weird, but it passes, get sent to hospital for full analysis.

Hope it's nothing serious.

Linden probably didn't know the details when he made that comment.

I choose to disassociate myself with all fans that fall into that category. Shameful. I hope that the collective group of posters here can rise above that.

I dunno. I'm pretty conflicted myself. The question is Do you believe in Karma?

If you do then Burrows had it coming. The guy plays hockey like a dirty scumbag and that's how most people are going to judge him.

As a person, he's most likely a nice guy who obviously has a family etc so I wish him the best and good health.

As a hockey player, he's dirt and shouldn't have been in this game tonight anyway based on the #### he pulled inn Game 3.

Then what was with the stretcher? Seems odd that they'd need an ambulance and a stretcher for a sore wrist.

yeah he's a human being, but i also understand burrows reputation. so maybe just for the time being, don't comment on what you think of burrows the player.

mama always said "if you can't say something nice, you're probably talking about alex burrows."

I wonder if he hurt his wrist in the fight and just blew it up while testing it (thinking maybe ligament).

Why is everyone defending Burrows all of a sudden. I'm not impressed. He could have a hang nail for all we know. Maybe he got a ham hug from hamhuis.

Maybe he got a viral infection from biting someone during morning practice.

They said he was holding his left arm when he left the ice. Could have had pre-heart attack symptoms (or perceived symptoms)
