Favorite flame after Theo. Guy was dominating in his prime. Most unheralded flames player in history IMO. Forever a flame is a slam dunk, and im not gonna lie I cry when I see 28 being used.

I'd have him on the 3rd pairing. Maybe he can be talked out of it... Part of me thinks he might be calling it quits because he's frustrated he couldn't land a hit on Gaudreau the other night...
The guy was a beast. Best defensive defenseman in an era that favoured that type of player. No one goes to the front of the net without some punishment when Reggie is there. Probably a bit too slow for the modern era, and he ain't getting any faster.

I was hoping he would be an option for us next season. He is still a good player from my point of view and would have been a good fit here.
His trade has to be one of the worst in our team history.

The man had the equivalent of 25 years worth of wear on his body and still put everything on the ice this year... Even during the games against Dallas this year I hoped someone would crush hemsky in the corner for old times sake. It didn't happen... Only Reggie could bring the pain!
Happy retirement, you’ve earned it!

After watching the Robyn vs Ales video, you know Robyn must really have respected Hudler a bit more.

Question - did Regehr actively single out Hemsky for the big hits? Or was that just coincidence?

IIRC on Afterhours he said he had a grudge with Hemsky. Don't remember what it was.

I'm really happy for him. As many have mentioned, he really persevered to have a great career for as long as he did.

Somewhere, Hemsky breathes a sigh of relief
He's in Dallas.
Out of the playoffs again.

PS, I did the research and while Regehr was a Flame, Hemsky scored 6 even strength goals against Calgary in 46 career games.
Only one was scored while Regehr was on the ice.
