I completely agree. I'd still like to see him put on some weight and if he does, he could dominate.

I believe in the Pony Power
|
I always feel like I'm under-rating Ortio, but I still think Gillies is the guy in net long-term and one of the most under-rated goalie prospects in the NHL.
But either way with Ortio-Gillies-McDonald in the pipeline - that is a good crop.

Janko still looks like he has chicken legs out there(skinny), but from what I have seen it looks like he plays a very mature game.

I think Gillies gets underrated because a) he didn't have a good WJC and b) people assume a lot his stats are a byproduct of Providence's system.
Anyone who actually watched him the past few years can tell he has all the elements necessary to be a #1 in the NHL.

Very one-sided so far for Providence, but scoreless still.

Providence is carrying the play, but Omaha's goalie is playing great. 0-0 early in the second.

Well if Ron Wilson got the C he was probably in charge of music in the locker room.

Gillies hasn't been very busy, but had to make a couple of good saves late in the first.
Gilmour has been solid.
Jankowski made a great pass that almost led to a goal in the first. He's also made some good defensive plays, and has looked good in the faceoff dot.

Providence going to the power play.
I wouldn't call that elbowing. If anything, that was interference.
