Game is on at 11am for me so I have taken the day off work. I'll probs have a few IPA's and smoke some scoobs at home. Miss the pub atmosphere of living in Canada. Really jealous I can't be over there to be apart of the hype.

This just arrived in the mail:

It's the same shirt the Flames gave to the players in training camp, as well as to the Fire Department when they presented the team with the fire helmet. Gio is also wearing one during his Visa commercial with Johnny Hockey

Not sure if I want to test it out on Thursday though -- the last time I tried out a new shirt (a gold "Gaudreauby Baker" T), the Flames lost to Columbus in overtime

What game 5 years ago was more important?

Stretch that #### back 6 years to the playoffs.

Most important game since Game 7 vs San Jose in 2008 IMO.

Really? The few Canucks fans I know are hoping Calgary gets in because they figure it'll be easier than LA.

Frankly as much as I'm looking forward to playoff hockey, I'd rather watch a series against anyone but the Canucks. The only Flames games I don't watch during regular season.

This +1 for me - ritualistic violent fist shaken with inaudible scream.

However, I must remember that if I'm holding my baby while this happens, inaudible scream makes no difference if I violent fist shake. Baby boy wakes, tears ensue and Daddy is horribad.

But for one more win tomorrow, I will gladly accept those tears. Victory will be salty my friends!

Part of me likes to think I did, but the reality is that I just bought it off eBay. The irony did occur to me though

It feels good to know that your team has something worth playing for. This should be the game of the year.

Yep, the poster Hockey said this yesterday in the OOT I think. Said he wanted no part of the Flames in the playoffs.

A few guys I work with and hang out with around here share the same POV too.

The Flames won the season series this yer against VAN and they're likely the easiest team to take out in the first round. Flames haven't done well against Minnesota, St.Louis (they'll own the Flames if they meet), Anaheim this year.

Chicago is a coin flip, really depends on which Blackhawks team shows up. Much like L.A they've gone deep into the playoffs for the last few years and could be out of gas. Mind you, Kane could return fresh and healthy and ruin the whole thing. And Toews has been on a tear too. They still scare me if the Flames meet them.

The Jets, well that'll be an interesting series as I think goaltending will lose that series if the Flames meet them too.

I'll be doing the same and it looks like the game is on Fox Sports so no dealing with a bad internet connection. I haven't been this excited and nervous about a game in a long time, I almost forgot what it felt like.

Yeah being in Calgary for the game would be amazing. I really miss heading to the pub for beers, wings, and hockey. I also miss just walking around town in my Flames jersey, it's usually too hot to wear it here. I'm definitely wearing it tomorrow though.

Hopefully the Flames can pull off a huge win and the Winnipeg game is meaningless. That one starts at 5am!

It is an elimination game for the Kings. If the Flames win in regulation, LA is out.

I see it as kind of like a game 6, with a 3-2 series lead.

So excited for tomorrow night.

I'm already feeling sick to my stomach with nerves. I forgot how stressful important games really were.

No real rituals aside from wearing Flames socks, red pants, and my Adirondack jersey.

Flames flag is up on the Q5; feels like eons since it was last used. I was a poor student finishing university the last time we made the playoffs, now I feel like old balls.
