Did Tiger just say he popped a bone back in place on his wrist after hitting a root??? I think Tiger just gave the world a meme for a long time
Yeah he did and major props to him for doing so and continuing. I did something similar to my left wrist in June of 2013 (hit lip of a fairway bunker on my follow through) and it hasn't been the same since (just had my third surgery on it).
Also, as great of a course as Augusta National is, they can't control mother nature
Yes they can..grow the rough!
Augusta's rough is a 1/2 inch joke, they use to reley on the tough greens but with todays ball and club technology that type of "rough" makes zero difference in the spin and they can hold the greens even with a wood, go back and look at some film from 30 years ago and you'll see what I mean.
Spieth didn't hit a fairway today until hole 13, if this was a US Open he would have been 6-7 over instead of 2 under for the day.
Was in a masters pool with 56 other people. Everyone got to pick any 5 golfers. The total money won in the Masters by each participants' 5 golfers combined is added - highest total takes down the pot which was $570.
Had Spieth on my ballot and was one of probably two dozen people who did. The guy finished 2nd last year - not like he was an unknown who shocked everyone, although the ease and dominance in which he did so was probably a bit surprising.

I was actually talking about the softer than normal conditions (i.e. Augusta can't control how much rain it receives). Historically, the greens are Augusta's defense against high scoring and the addition of "rough" (I agree it is not much) didn't happen until 1999 so when rain softens up the greens, scoring is going to be lower than previous events.
That was Tiger who didn't hit a fairway until the 13th hole too.
Really small field this year (smallest since 2002 if I recall correctly).
As of right now there are 88 in the field, Tiger playing would make 89 and the winner of the Shell Houston Open, if they aren't already qualified, would make it 90.
Jason Day's been playing out of his mind and he has a history of doing quite well at Augusta, with a 3rd place finish in 2013 and a T-2nd in 2011. This might be his year.
Obviously can't overlook Phil Mickelson, with 3 wins and 11 top five finishes at Augusta in his career.
If Bubba Watson wins again I might not ever watch golf again.
I have a couple bets placed for The Masters right now. Bubba and Phil are my safer bets to win. I haven't picked a long shot yet but if DeLaet gets into the tournament I'll put a couple of bucks on him.
The last few years when I have done the Masters pool I have had to do everything myself. This year officepools has finally created a free Masters pool so I will be going off of that. Again if any of you are interested the cost is $10 and you can fill out your picks here
Golf Channel did a piece on Bryson DeChambeau during their Masters coverage and it was some really fascinating stuff. The guy uses equal length clubs because it helps him maintain a consistent swing plane. He is also a physics major and he runs some crazy analysis and equations in his head before his shots. He has a really interesting and unique approach to golf.
