Ticked off we didn't earn the 2 points, but for all intents and purposes... CBJ is a good team. Their season was riddled with injuries, and these guys would be right in the playoff hunt if not for it.

Afternoon game, with afternoon game mistakes we took to OT after they riddled the team ahead of us? I'll accept it. We absolutely should have taken the 2 points sans mistakes, but they were there and we got away with a point.

Don't expect Raymond to step up any time soon. He's terrible and cost us Sven Baertschi.
Both of these are nonsense.

The guys who needed to step up have, the top line, the remaining top 4, it's time we see some of the more depth players here down the stretch.
Good point we could have used some secondary scoring.

Sven Baertschi cost us Sven Baertschi. There's no one else to point the finger at for his lack of success then him.

And if Wotherspoon was good enough to be playing a regular roster spot right now, he would be. That's not on Engelland.

This PGT is full of stupid posts. We lost, against a hot team playing with no pressure while we had all the pressure. Oh, and ridiculous goaltending from Bobrovsky. Any other day the Flames walk away with 2 points.

This endless blame-game following a loss has got to stop.

What a brutal game to lose a point. Engelland is hot garbage, Russell made a mistake and it costs us the game. Backlund is too quiet because Raymond is not playing well. Time to shake up the lines. Why the heck we continue to play Raymond?

Holy people's overreaction on here is irritating.

Russell had 1 mistake. Gio's has had more than 1 mistake that led to goals. Is he "garbage"

Wideman did NOT play like garbage.

Engelland is vastly improved, and currently punching above his weight, so chill the out.

The team had a weak 3rd. It was not a garbage game. Bobrovsky played excellent. The secondary guys needed to step up.

Still frustrating to lose, but chill out guys. Be objective.

Even good players make mistakes once in a while. It sucks that his mistake led to a goal, but if you want to win a game, you should expect to have to score more than twice.

If we miss by one point, I don't care I'm blaming that Russell giveaway for costing us the season.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. The king of hyperbole. Russell has been absolutely stellar this year and you blame him for one mistake? Seriously? I guess you've never made a bad mistake in your life there Mr. Perfect? Give me a break. Maybe if (big if) we don't make the playoffs we should blame it on the 8 game slide earlier this year, not single out one player.

kind of odd to say since Backlund just finished a 8 game pt streak.

Move on; time to bring in Hiller, Jooris, Shore & Byron against the Avs.

A loss is a loss. This was a game we needed to win.

We've got big games against strong teams like the Avs (who beat us last time), Stars (who beat us last time, and they have Klingberg coming on hard right now), Predators(who are looking like the most beatable opponent... except they're one of the best teams in the league), Wild(who beat us last time), Kings(who beat us last time), Blues(who beat us last time), and Jets (who are looking scarier now than they did when we faced them) in our last ten. That's eight games that are a coin flip, three of which are 4 point games.

Our only guarunteed wins left are Edmonton and Arizona and if they mess those up this season could be over long before game 81.

I hate to panic because ten games is a long time and so much could happen - but today's loss and the loss to the Avs last week sting hard as these were non-Playoff teams.

Absolutely ridiculous to pile on Russell for that goal. Mistakes happen. He's been unbelievable all season.

Except for the first line our forwards played like crap. Backland in particular had no energy at all. Don't know what's wrong with him. If we are going anywhere in the next two weeks we need to be able to roll all four lines.

Couldn't agree more. Some of the dramatic posts or calling players "Morons" is a little much.

There is a reason they say we are in a Playoff "Battle" and not "cakewalk"

Well in good news, the Kings only have two home games left this season. I hope they can be well and truly buried soon.

Brutal giveaways by Engelland and Russell to give up those 2 goals.
1 pt vs none for LA is the silver lining.
If the Jets can lose in regulation it's actually a good day for us.

The hyperbole can be a little much, but at the end of the day you have to have some killer instinct at this time of the year and the lack of urgency in the third is troubling. 1-1-1 on the home stand with two games left against teams that have beat us in the last meeting, at this point you need two regulation wins for this homestand to be successful
