It could Montreal-Detroit in the first round and maybe Tampa Bay-Boston.

Gee I wonder how long the guy in charge of the music at Rexall has been waiting to bust that out? As the Oilers leave the ice after the first period they have "Takin care of business" blaring over the speakers.

Lots apparently. Oilers don't have a single regulation win in ten games this year where they scored 4.

This from earlier today:

"@BruceMcCurdy: CULT OF HOCKEY: 4 goals should be more than enough to win an NHL game. Not for the #Oilers, it#isn’t http://t.co/0flC7a2q9y by @BruceMcCurdy"

"@BruceMcCurdy: @JonathanWillis So one could argue Oilers' opponents are "only" 7-0-3 when Oilers score 4 times. Either way, ZERO regulation wins."

It was surprising to see the Capitals have a difficult time with the Sabres. The Capitals win 4-3 in the shootout and that is good news for the rest of the eastern playoff teams. Washington does not get a ROW.

The Habs were down 3-0 and could not complete the comeback as Tampa win 4-2. Stamkos scored a pair of goals, including the fourth goal to make it 4-2. The Lightning and Habs are tied for first place in the division.

Was going to comment on the fact that the Oilers are laying the wood to the leafs as evidence of how hapless the leafs are, when I came across this:

Astounding statistic.

The Capitals-Sabres game completes the doubleheader on Rogers channels. The Capitals can distance themselves from the Bruins and even the hard charging Senators.

The Leafs-Oilers game is going to be a trailer trash comedy show. The surprising thing is that the game actually starts at a normal local time.
I'm with Shaw cable and I have Centre Ice and was looking for the Kings game so I saw this post so I check Sportsnet Pacific on channel 145 and I get a message that it is a subscription channel. What the hell??

Has anyone looked at this Win Probability tracker Sportsnet has?

Maybe Edmonton really is that bad, or maybe this thing is useless. It has Toronto with 90% odds right now down 4-1.

Edit: Toronto now 100%. Down 4-1, with 100% odds...

It looks like they just take each "event" in the game and attribute an extra 5-10% to the team who did it. It looks to measure "momentum" but I doubt it measures anything.

You're totally right, everything is in 5-15% increments. Looks like someone is determining the 'impact' of each event. ie. a LA hit dropped the probability from 65% to 50%. Neat if you can't watch the game but want to know where things are tilting, but definitely skewed if whoever is watching it really liked that hit.

No score after 1 period. Shots 10-6 for the Kings.
