5-2 now for Hawks with about five minutes to go. Looks like they've got this one so that's a hell of a thing.

Perhaps the Sharks need to shut their mouths and stop lying...

Sharp heating up (hopefully) will be a good sign for the 'Hawks, as they still have a shot at 100+ points...

Shaw with two perfect screens on the two 'Hawk PP goals...won't show up on the score sheet...but, those scores are on the scoreboard because of his good work.

Great start to the relevant games on the OOT board. The Sharks are pretty much done, they are trailing teams with games in hand and are about to go on a really long road trip (6 or 7 games I believe). This should be the final nail in their coffin. Thank you, Chicago!

Not going to be a fun Shark's dressing room after this game - think that Wilson comes down to talk to the boys??

Would there be a point to that? The Sharks are a lot like the Avs, slow start and then going on a tear. That might work out East but in the Western Conference that dog just wont hunt.

The Sharks just need the coup-de-grace.

Calgary Flames Playoff Chances: 91.9%

Potential for today:
CGY reg. win = +3.3% / CGY reg. loss = -4.7%
WPG reg. loss = +0.9% / WPG win(any) = -1.3%
SJ reg. loss = +0.9%
LA reg. loss = +0.7% / LA ROW = -0.5%
MIN reg. loss = +0.5% / MIN ROW = -0.6%
VAN reg. loss = +0.6% / VAN reg. win = -0.3%

Absolute best case scenario: 98.8%
Worst case scenario: 84.5%

You know our fate is in our own hands when the teams we're battling with barely affect our percentages anymore.

After dominating stretches of play in the first 40 minutes, and outshooting the 'Hawks 2 to 1, that 3rd period collapse bodes disaster for Saint Joe, as they have to salvage their season on a long road trip...also...I gotta feel that when (NOT if) they fail to make the playoffs, this squad gets blown up, all the way to the Head Coach.

Captain obvious here, but it's so abundantly clear that there just isn't enough heart & character in that Sharks lineup. They have insane amounts of skill (and have for years), but they just consistently find ways to lose in important games/series. They're just not clutch.

Of all the important OOT games tonight, the biggest are the Sharks and Jets games.

Half way to an excellent OOT. Just need the Bolts to do us a solid. Anything else above that (and the Flames winning) is just gravy.

Marleau seems to be exhibit A of great talent, but, pillow soft, when it matters...and for all the hype, when they added Thornton, they just seemed to wilt under pressure.

Thornton is the exact same. Tons of talent but very little grit or character.

Look at a guy like Monahan, he plays both ways, he cancels out his opposite number and he does whatever it takes.

Thornton is amazing offensively. And thats pretty much it.

I have no faith in the Jets doing much of anything for the rest of the year.
