Tough choice. I agree with others. As long as it goes 3-0 on regulation time I am all for it. I guess whoever wins the game tonight, that's who I am rooting for.
I guess it won't matter if the Flames wins the rest of their games of the season.

3-0-0 for Vancouver.
Kings would be hard pressed to make the playoffs which I would love to see. Also would most likely put is against Vancouver which is probably the most winnable match-up for us.

I just can't see the Kings missing the playoffs. They're two time Cup winners, shooting for "Dynasty" status.
LA has just been conserving their strength lying in the weeds waiting for the playoffs. I expect the Kings to sweep the Canucks (and most other teams) from here on.

I live in Victoria and a Flames/Canucks series would be super fun, regardless of who wins honestly. I'll be ecstatic if the Flames do make the playoffs, but watching a playoff game between the Canucks and Flames with my canuckle-scum friends would be way more fun than cheering against Anaheim alone/with people who don't really care.

'Plausible' but not 'probable'. If the Kings go 0-3 against Vancouver, they probably miss the play offs and we probably play Vancouver in the first round. It's plausible that the Avs make the playoffs, but it's not probable enough to really talk about.

It seems lime the Flames and Canucks fans want that first round matchup as both fan bases feel it gives them the best chance to win.

I said almost guarantees.
As already pointed out, your scenario as far more unlikely and not anywhere close to comfortable for LA to go 9-2-2 in their other games. Now that is a massive overstatement!
Having said all that; I think we can all agree that either of these teams going 3-0 in this series is unlikely, so it's all hypothetical arguments of an unlikely scenario anyway.

Well looks like the Canucks are losing tonight so I guess I am going with LA over the Canucks in their next two games. Besides, I just find it hard to cheer for the Canucks. At least with LA, they have Regehr and Darryl Sutter.

Superstition is dumb.
There is no such thing beyond our own confirmation biases as "fate."
The Flames are very well positioned to make the playoffs, and also to finish in the PC2 slot. No, this is not a guarantee, nor is it hubristic to expect this to happen. Just as it is neither a guarantee nor hubristic for fans of either LA or Vancouver to think along the same lines.
All that said, I predict that Calgary is in, and that they finish in one of the bottom two division spots.

We've heard this for months now. They just don't score a lot of goals so they struggle to win consistently. The benefit is their playing style of physical play and grinding/mucking works well in the playoffs and they can beat anyone if they get in. But I don't think it's a lock they are going to get red hot all of the sudden and blow past everyone.

4-0-1 in their last five, but also with a S/O win against Montreal. They have managed to beat some truely uniplressive teams: Edmonton, Colorado, Tokarski's Canadiens, and a Canucks team that has tallied only 9 goals in their last 5 games, and two goals on 35 SOG in their last two.

They are only this low because they couldn't win on the road forever. Fixed that with a 7-3 record. Quick was terrible too, that's been fixed as well.
Without Voynov, and being a year older, I don't think the Kings are the kind of threat they were the past three years, but that team is going to make the playoffs easily. It is why Winnipeg fading is so important to us.

Of course it is, but doesn't it still make you uncomfortable? I'm still inclined to knock on wood.

Great to see the Canucks lose, not great to see the Kings win.

Still can't cheer for the canucks, even if it makes some sense to.
Really don't care about matchups. Rather not end up as some nucklehead's sig line by suggesting the nucks are the best matchup.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
