Good return for the Coyotes but man are they going to be terrible for the rest of this season and likely next. The Rangers have an advantage no other team has in that money never matters and they don't necessarily need their 1st round picks as they are always a top spot for free agents and simply always get to fill their roster via trades and free agency.

NYR don't have a forst this year so it would be a 2016

Wow that is a great return, Duclair, Moore, a 1st and another pick? Rangers also add to their defense. They will be a tough out in the playoffs.

I would think they'll be wanting to lead the pack to 30th next year to maximize their chances to get that Arizona kid

Kypreos should be ashamed...announcing a guy as dealt when he isnt involved is unforgivable as it means he was guessing and not getting info from anyone legitimate.

Twitter is a loaded gun...guys HAVE to start treating it as such.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Duclair, Moore and a 1st for Yandle, plus Yotes retain 50% of Yandle's salary.

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Duclair, Moore, 2016 first and 50 per cent of retention.

Holy crap! Glad we didn't go for Yandle

Beating a dead horse but we really should have retained salary on Bouw's deal to get a return like this

McDonagh, Yandle, Girardi, Staal, Klein and Boyle.

Best d-core in the league!

I understand Shane Doan likes the organization and all, but I don't get how he doesn't want to win a cup or at least go to a contender. It wouldn't even be for long, the rest of this year and next year.

Unless the Rangers pick one up later, they are set not to have a 1st round pick for 4 years straight.

2013 1st traded in Nash deal
2014 1st traded in St. Louis Deal
2015 1st traded in St. Louis Deal
2016 1st traded in Yandle deal

A 40 point 2.6m D man is an incredible pick up for NYR. Paid a heft hefty price to upgrade their top 6 but man thats great value for back end production.

If you could move Wideman for that 50% retained for something really close to that, do you do it? I personally wouldn't.

I like that move from Phoenix. Yandle makes to many defensive mistakes to be a true number 1. Duclair has shown chemistry with Arizona's top prospect, a late first is always nice and John Moore himself is still a decently sized defenseman with potential (if not as much as once thought).

Yup and I don't mind that TBH. I'll take my hockey talk however I can get it, love it even if there's no new trades to talk about.

Yes it was. Feaster said he wanted the money to spend on something else.
