Ya. People who talk about karma need to be smacked upside the head. Yakimov should be eating pureed food for a month not scoring the game winner.
Boo-urns.

At the very least, he should have been ejected from the game. That was intentional. To only get 2 minutes wasn't enough. It may be reviewed by the league but unfortunately, that only means he could be suspended for future games and probably not even tomorrow's game.
The other thing is we still don't know the extent (or if) there is an injury to Ortio. I'm hoping the Flames PBP guy has one and have asked him.

The only "kind of" (in the sense we could all probably guess this anyway) update I have for Ortio is that it is officially being called an injury, he was not pulled due to precaution and he will be re-evaluated tomorrow.
There is nothing further about whether he's out for tomorrow, starter/backup for tomorrow or if they are recalling anyone from the ECHL. At this time, there doesn't look to be any recalls on the AHL or ECHL site.
Edit: Apparently they just updated the site to say Carr is called up when I posted that.

Theissen will get the start tonight. PBP still claiming that Ortio will be re-evaluated as they don't know the injury.

Yakimov takes a shot from a Flames player after he fires a shot off on Thiessen.
They have his number. His night is about to be long.
