Yeah, during the Lougheed years, there were three consecutive elections where there were 6 or fewer non-PCs elected. In 1982, there were 2 NDPs and 2 independents (former SoCreds who left the party as it circled the drain) and the rest were PCs. As a result, Lougheed appointed members of the PCs to some of the critics portfolios.
