Forgetting the injuries and the expectations from everyone else this year... Just consider what Hartley has accomplished with a salary floor team. I don't think any other team with a payroll as low as the flames did as well as they did this season.

This team was pegged as a contender for the 1st overall draft pick by virtually everyone at the start of the season. What Hartley has done this year is simply amazing. I can't see how he doesn't get the Jack Adams now that we've made the playoffs.

This is a no brainer in my albeit biased opinion...
Fwiw Friedman on 960 just said he thinks it will be a neck and neck vote between Hartley the and Maurice

I loved Hartley on the Fan 960 this morning. He admitted that they will likely rest some injured players or guys with bumps and bruises and take a younger crew to the game in Winnipeg on Saturday.

But then he adds - make no mistake we are going there to win, we are not going there to be tourists.

He always sets the right tone.

Also I can't recall every hearing an NHL coach being so appreciative of the fans and acknowledging the special relationship between the fans and this Flames team. just great stuff!
