Vancouver will have 3 games at hand though.
Getting one point behind WPG will be huge though. A win tonight really tightens up the pack.

Or maybe keep lines the same and switch backlund and bouma as center then put Sven on the wing on that line if backlund can't play.

Have any of the credible Flames guys said anything? As Resurrction points out, Jets writer says Hutchinson. Hopefully it's Pavelec for the Flames' sake.

- I disagree - The poll should be on each GDT, gives a great snapshot of how folks are feeling before the game. Should auto-close at [Game Time -1hr] to lock down the view of the general sentiment here before the game
- How could it possibly be anyone but a mod who added it...

First goalie off for #NHLJets is Michael Hutchinson, suggesting he will get his 3rd start in a row here tonight in Calgary. #bn

ya, I like the poll added. I think it should just be the same poll every time we play except when we play the Oilers because it would just be "Blow out win" pretty well most of the time we play them.

Need a good night on the power play:
“@Fan960Wills: #Jets have been shorthanded 210 times this season...93 times more than #Flames and 30 times more than any team in #NHL. #WPGvsCGY”

To each their own. I can tell you what would happen if a poll were added every day…
A lot of fans will always vote for a win, no matter what logic dictates. It comes with being a fan and focusing on the positive.
If the Flames are playing well of late and have won a few games, it would be heavily skewed toward a win no matter what the matchup is or any other factor that could play into the game.
If the Flames are not playing particularly well, or have lost games while playing well, it will be heavily skewed towards a loss, no matter what the matchup is or any other factor that could play into the game.
It could be an interesting snapshot once in a while, but doing one for every game would be incredibly tedious, and wouldn't be all that illuminative…at least for me anyway.

That looks about right. The Sven crowd will complain he's not playing with talent, but Raymond/Jooris/Byron played well, and it's hard to mess with the other lines. Plus I think Stajan can compliment Baertschi - he's smart and can play defence. I'm not sure but I don't think they played together this year.

Guilty!
Thought with you not getting your usual up it might beef the topic up. Not meaning to offend!

Keep in mind with Wolf going on IR, Granlund - who has been called up - can fill in at centre if he makes it to Calgary in time and coaches want him to go.

We would have heard about the callup unless sureloss is sick too. If he gets the call no, no way he makes it for this game.

Nah, it's your site, you can do what you want. Thanks for trying to help.
It's irrational, but I treat the GDTs like my personal belonging, so I get protective if people mess with them. It's stupid, but there ya go.

I experience it on DVD. (Yes. It's not the Same, I wish I was alive at that point.) but definitely will experience the next one!

I agree with Cali. It doesn't hurt to have, but a poll like that doesn't tell much unless it's just neutral fans voting imo. Here, if the team is doing good, people will vote win. if the team is struggling, there will be lots of loss votes. Regardless of the matchup or lineup.

Per the other thead, they have called Granlund. But I don't know if he can make it by game time.
I don't like what that says about Backlund's health though.
