Although, I did have to pause at the "fans that are into the back side" comment.

Oh, Kristin.

We finally get an explanation for the weird green padding on the inside of the mask.

Love that Hiller wants the retro's to be our full time jersey, c'mon Flames give the players what they want!

Edit. The answer is yes. Refer to the practice skate thread for this and more!
According to the Flames website, Retro night is Thursday Vs. PHI.

If you went back at when hiller first signed with Calgary and his first mask debut. I actually said the purpose of his Maltese/equal padding. Its defintely a bit pricey through.

Wanted to ask in the other thread talking about Hillers gear, but here's better.

In the playoffs, teams are able to pick whatever jerseys they want to wear right? So there is a chance that the Flames rock the retros the entire playoffs?

I heard something about the SJ players wanting to wear the 3rds (thus the simplification of the primaries the next season). I'd be willing to bet that given players choice they'd rock the retros. We know where Hillers vote is at least.

I see no reason why he can't wear those full time. Retros or not those are awesome.

Also love that it's KOHO. Didn't even know they still made gear.

Man, I can't wait for the flames used equipment sale. If Hiller decides to let these go, I'm gonna do what it takes to buy the whole gear. I'm a fellow full right as well so it would work for me.

Wow that set looks amazing. Simple mask but so nice. I'd put it up there with kipper's first, kidd's dragon and mcelhinney's gunfighter among my favourite flames masks.

100% agreed.

Don't forget the Karlsson!:

I think this might have usurped the Karlsson as my favourite Flames mask.

Koho still makes gear. They just do not have an NHL contract...apparently, you need to have a contract with the league in order for players to showcase your brands. Hiller is the only player to (somehow) rock the Koho gear in the NHL.

I thought they (Karhu - Titan/Jofa, Koho, Canadien) were bought by Reebok, along with CCM.
