Have you ever noticed that there's always a little audio/video glitch near the end of each period at home?

I'm convinced its when Sportsnet resets the timing issue so that the intermission panel is back in sync.

Man.. so man chances.

Good on Hiller making that save on Seguin on the one big Dallas chance.

Glencross would have shoot that puck. He's being unselfish this season trying to pass more than shooting. He's got a heck of a shot and he should use it more often.

Not a bad first period. I hope they keep it up and also score some goals.

It's crazy how pretty well everyone on the team has stone hands.

Solid period by the Flames. But if they can't find some finish, it's gonna come back and bite them in the arse. This is definitely starting to look like a first goal wins kind of game.

We've had almost all of the decent openings, can't catch that break. But we've been penned into our zone a little too much and thats been where we've look shakiest.

Solid period, Russell with a bad turnover late, not playing his best lately.

Earlier this year the horn was busted in a game so they used airhornish sound. Maybe the same situation?

Pretty even period, with perhaps a slight advantage to the Flames in terms of overall play. Good stop by Hiller on Seguin towards the end of the period, and a few good chances for the Flames over the course of the whole period.

I think we'll come out on top with two more periods like this.

It's been used when the normal horn isn't working, this is only the second time I recall hearing it.

Side note: I totally forgot I had a friend who was a Stars fan

At first I always wanted the puck to be passed to Johnny heading up the ice cause I wanted to see what he could do... But after seeing him play the way he has this season it's obvious that chances seem to always be created if he is the guy with speed up the ice carrying the puck. I know there's a stat out there that actually tracks scoring chances based on who carries the puck across the offensive blue line but I don't know what it's called.

With Johnny it's practically every time he is the guy carrying the puck across the blue line a play is set up for a quality scoring chance. It seems like prudent coaching and not fanboyism to plan the offensive attack around that.

Thanks! It was a stumbling end to the period so I wasn't paying that much attention, but it really caught me off guard. That makes sense completely though.
