Thank God I'm not the only one who feels that way. The damned thing makes me queasy.

I wanted to mention something before as well, as it bothers me too, but I was sure I would be told to turn off avatars, which I don't want to do. I like most of them and I can easily see who is who that way.

I hope Im wrong, but I have a gut feeling the intensity drops as more vets draw back into the lineup and there are less young guys in there. Leafs win 5-3. The second and third lines of the Leafs are playing well and might expose Russel/Wideman defensively.

4-1

Raymond with 2 goals busting wide around Dion.
Monahan with a wrister from the slot - unchecked by Dion.
Gaudreau knocks Dion off the puck and feeds Jooris (you heard that right).
Ferland hits Kessell in the first, Kessell's name not called all game.
Kozun dresses, makes a nice play for TO's only goal.

Makes sense that Burkie would want to see the Leafs slaughtered first hand.

Well it is some younger guys going back in as well....these aren't grizzled old bitter vets heading back in

It was funny listening to Hartley's pre game today. You could tell the Toronto media was fascinated by the Flames and were trying to figure out how Hartley was doing it, presumably so they could then tell the Leafs coaching staff how to do things for the next however-many months of editorials on why the Leafs suck. Also, you could tell by the types of questions they were asking that hey hadn't watched the Flames all year.

"Hey Bob, why isn't Gaudreau getting killed out there? He's small right?"

Yeesh…watch a game you jackholes.

I can't wait to see Phaneuf try to stop Gaudreau, caveman vs wizard.

I feel like the 4th line will be big tonight, Ferland with 1st NHL goal.

Yup, I think this line scores two tonight. Ferland and Stajan.

I could really use a positive distraction today, so please just win Flames.

I'm pretty superstitious and got cocky about facing the Sharks last game and I think it came back to er..bite us. I'll try not to make fun of the Leafs too much tonight. Just gonna cheer on the boys. But seriously a big win on Toronto ice would be great.

Phaneuf said only three players remain with the Flames from his days in Calgary: defenseman Mark Giordano and forwards Curtis Glencross and Brian McGrattan.
Pretty easy for me to overlook just how big of a player turnaround the Flames have gone through. It's conceivable that by next year the only player from the 2009 team could be Giordano.

I just realized this game is on SportsNet West and TSN4 but not SportsNet 1 like I thought. So the game is blacked out.

Now I'm sad.

Who wants to travel thousands of miles to watch the game at the Steel City Sportsbar with me?
