It was a competitive game, my expectations are meagre .....

Boy Petry and Hall looked bad on that goal. Hall especially just kind of gave up on the play.

That shouldn't come as too much of a surprise... He is awful in his own end.

Okay, I just saw the reply of the Hall "effort" on the winning goal. I gave such a hearty chuckle the studying gf shot me an angry look. The guy is just stupid, dumb dumb dumb. No effort and no clue how to play in his own end.

Honest wondering not trying to be judgemental or anything. I'm an oilers fan on a flames board for what it's worth.

It's not just Calgary fans it's everyone. On PTS yesterday McCown asked why everyone on the Toronto station and Sportsnet were talking about the Oilers all the time. The answer because their pathetic play is a big story and pretty much unprecedented in hockey and perhaps all of the 4 major sports.

Hall. What the hell was that! Seriously, Forsberg did Disney on ice around you while you napped. Wow.

Pick what battle? I said they were all bad but Eberle was the one standing still. Hall looked awful as well but at least it tried to do something, the wrong thing, but an effort was there. Eberle looked like he was just waiting for Nashville to score so he could get to the dressing room first.

Who exactly was the guy who decided that to trade for and then sign Niktin? He should be fired.

Given your history of loving Hall it came across as a deflection.
And honestly, that might have literally been the least Taylor Hall could have done on that play. Looking back on it just standing there might have been better, at least he would have been in the way than pathetically spinning.

It would be nice if oilers could actually take a couple of points off teams that are around us in the league. But looks like they want McDavid

Literally amazing how much more skilled the Flames are than the Oilers, considering the Oilers have a 6 year headstart on the rebuild.

Hilariously the Oilers have every player on the roster under their control (either under contract or RFA) except for Petry and Fasth (excluding guys who get scratched every 3rd game).
One more year of this crew.

He was exhausted. He and Eberle were already gassed but went for one last rush. When Nikitin stepped on the stick they had no choice but to stay on. He had nothing left. Very selfish play. Selfish and dumb. That's worse than lazy.

Fasth I think cannot wait for his contract to run out. The way he walked off the ice looked like he was done with that circus and the bunch of clown shoes he's surrounded by.
If I didnt know that Hall was on the ice for a whopping 1:27 of OT and let Forsberg use him like a pylon in a pick and roll I would've suggested the same thing for Hall.
Either way. Edmonton isn't getting any better any time soon without some draconian changes.

We were reminded of two losers tonight. Washington and Edmonton.

Yep, moon outs himself quicker than any other returning poster. Guy has his hard-ons for certain guys and can't help himself.
That he even tries to defend Hall on this play is hilarious. That's one of the worst defensive efforts ever.
