Just watched the trailer and I do believe this will be a fun movie. One thing did bug me, the mosasaur or liopleurodon seemed much too large. Mosasaur's did get the biggest at an estimated 60 feet, but that just seemed way to big, still exited to see it though as giant marine reptiles are my favorites. They seem so much more terrifying due to our poor adaptation to water.
Yeah that bugged me too. I could see them making it bigger, but not that much bigger. It looked ridiculous, and fake too.
My hype level for this is comparable to Star Wars. In fact, maybe ahead (for the moment). the director Trevorrow gives me hope that this might be a home run - at least for the kind of movie it is. He doesn't come from a background of flashy hollywood films, and the small films he's done were really good, so I think there might be some quality smaller scale scenes between characters like the original, as well as the large scale stuff and obvious action.
Of course there's definitely some over the top parts to the story, but this trailer just further confirms that this could be the most entertaining couple of hours spent at the theatres in years. I'm stoked!
Though the one head scratcher I got out of this one is how does the I-Rex have anything to do with a bunch of Pterodactyls breaking out and visitors getting stranded? Somehow the park's infrastructure is compromised, and doesn't look like they're doing the tropical storm thing again. I'm curious... but we shall see.

Interesting takes on the trailer, but when this came on while watching the super bowel tonight all I did was sound like a school girl giggling "Jurassic Park is Finally BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Star Wars is in December, this is the summer of the Dinosaur.

I like that second trailer better, there is no dancing around what is going to happen, Dino's will get out and chase people around.
We all know what we are signing up for when we buy that ticket, so if it isn't want you want to see then stay home and let the rest of us enjoy it

Looking at how backgrounds etc. are being altered, it does make me a bit concerned as to how heavily this film relies on animation.
However, Stan Winston Studio, who did the animatronic dinos for the first couple films are returning, which is encouraging. Our old favourites, including T-Rex should be kept JP1 legit. By the way, they have their own youtube channel. The vids are pretty fascinating and worth the watch:
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but a sneak peak at the new Indominus Rex, aka the super dino they created. Spoilered in case you would rather see it for the first time in the movie.
