Sure, but if we stretch that a bit more, he's had 7 points in his last 8 games coming into tonight. Almost PPG, so not horrible, but definitely not scoring goals at the clip we're used to seeing. Agree about his two-way game improving under Trotz... he's only a -2 so far!

The Jets are getting competent goaltending. What the hell?

I see your point and you're right. That's what separates Gretzky from his peers.

But Theo's chip on his shoulder is part of Theo's appeal. He earned every inch of ice he got, every goal, and every penalty minute. He wasn't out there to shake hands and be friends - he'd rather jam his stick in your teeth and undress the goalie on a breakaway as soon as he got out of the penalty box. There are few players with 1000 points and even more penalty minutes - and very few of Theo's penalty minutes were from fights. He was short but an absolute tank with his core and leg strength. Very hard to keep off the puck. As for his comments, with Theo, this is expected. It's who he is, and quite frankly was more generous and softer than he would have been 10 years ago.

I love the little bugger.

Seguin has a hat trick already in the 2nd period.

Thank god Edmonton took Hall.

They would have ruined Seguin anyway. Hall, Yak, or Hopkins could have been superstar talents if they weren't playing for the Oil; we'll probably never know now though.

Seguin with his attitude would have been a disaster in Edmonton.

Sounds like he'd fit in nicely.

The Canucks are playing well... do they really need to keep Horvat up playing 7/8 minutes a game.

Defense is getting overrated. This is not the best hockey he's played.

That's your opinion.

My opinion and that of many who watch the Caps closely is different.

He's definitely playing better than he did last year, but 2005-2010 Ovechkin was on a completely different level.

Dallas has squandered a 3-1 lead in the third period giving up 3 straight goals by the Sharks now in the 3rd.

Stallock catches the puck and bats the puck out of play while Roussel takes him out.

Sharks go insane and Roussel manages to throw a suckerpunch on Braun.
