Why can't Jooris' nickname be JJ? It's simple.

I'm confused with the David Moss comparison. I actually think it fits rather nicely.

Wasn't Moss one of the (if not THE) fastest skater for the Flames for a while? The kid had wheels.

He had great hands too - underrated passer, and look at his goal production.

He was also a net-front presence and was good in the corners, and great defensively.

I like Jooris. I think he is the closest thing to Moss. I hope he does become Mossman 2.0. David Moss just fell apart because of injuries, but he was a fantastic depth player for a number of years in Calgary I thought.

Why shouldn't Feaster get credit? He was the one who offered the contract.

Scouts likely tell GM's about tons of players, that don't get signed.

Have to disagree. To his credit he had a 20 goal season, but I remember being sorely disappointed with his finishing. He was always in the crease hunting for the puck, but didn't evoke memories of Tim Kerr.

We have Feaster and/or his administration to thank for all these players currently finding success on our NHL roster:

Jooris
Gaudreau
Monahan
Granlund
Wideman
Russell
Colborne
Smid
Ramo
Byron
Hudler

Something about Feaster bothered me and I never really warmed to the guy, but he did a solid job laying the foundations for this rebuild. With Poirier, Klimchuk, Wotherspoon, Knight, Jankowski, Gillies and several other of his prospects coming through the pipeline I think we all owe Jay Feaster a tiny bit of appreciation. Weisbrod as well.

So I guess the big question here is: what's his trade value?

Completely agree and also see many examples supporting the comparison, not least of which is that both have alliterative names!

Open ice hit on Backstrom.
Initiates scrum with incredibly tough Tom Wilson.
Great speed on backcheck.
Pass to Monahan for OT winner.

I also like Josh Jooris.

They may as well tell him to find a place in Calgary.

I wish they could keep them. #60 and #86 are pretty unique.

Granlund will likely go to #26 though, Jooris' #19 is taken.

Ya, that has been beaten to death. It is the way it is from the man at the top. Regardless, a number under 35 means you've made it (aside from #27). Available numbers:

2, 3, 10, 12, 14, 26, 28, 34, 35 (assuming no trades)

I doubt anyone will be taking 2 12 14 or 34
