Creatine isn't going to do harm to you, there are no clinical studies showing this at all so forget that fear mongering b.s. With that said do not take creatine, any differences you may notice will be negligible and it's not too cheap. Don't worry about buying whey protein either, unless you are in a rush and miss meals because of it.
Here is what you must do:
1. Forget all the gimmicky buzzword laden crap you've heard over the years. That includes everything related to fad diets, fad exercise products (bowflex etc.), supplements, and trend workouts (Usher does 1000 sit-ups a day, Brad Pitt worked out for 6 hours a day to prepare for Troy!).
2. Go to Costco and pick up 2 or 3 dozen eggs, a couple bulk packs of chicken breasts, some cod fillets, some beef, 8 litres of milk, a bunch of fruit and vegetables, and some bread. Again, forget all the gimmicky buzzword laden crap you've heard over the years pertaining to diet. Try to eat all this food as fast as possible, don't make yourself puke or anything, just eat a lot.
3. If you want your body to change you've got to force it to change. Get a membership at a gym that has lots of access to freeweights, that includes benches and squat racks. Or buy some equipment (all you need is weights, a bar, a bench and a squat rack).
4. Workout 3 times a week. Heavy! When I say heavy I mean heavy for you, not heavy for the bulkhead beside you. You'll start at a low weight to start with but if you stick with it you'll be lifting heavier weights before you know it. Base each of your workouts around a heavy compound movement like the Squat, Bench, Deadlift or Overhead press (these are what will make you grow). Do the isolation exercises like the bicep curls etc. last, remember you're trying to gain weight.
5. Don't be discouraged by what the scale says. Most adult males can realistically gain about 10 lbs of muscle in a year with proper diet and training. You'll hear people quoting how they gained 30-50 lbs of muscle when they started training, but most of that will be fat. Don't worry about what the scale says. Imagine 10lbs of steak sitting on a plate, that's quite a bit of bulk.
Eat lots. Train Hard. You will grow.

Seriously people don't laugh at small guys.. no one was ripped to begin with, most people were either skinny fat or average and empathize.. As well any big guy that would laugh probably has small man syndrome and made up for it with steroids so he's kinda lame anyway (no offense to you juice monkies out there )
I'll add more later, was going to go for a drive..

All I can come up with, is while he's not funnier than me, he looks exactly like this guy who definately is funner than I. But then again, ladies what's so hot about this guy?
Going to Hell for this but... meh
|
Heh, oh man, I'll tell you what, Id bet my morning doughnut that guy doesnt get laid.
You know Jon, I bet if you quit worrying about it so much you'd find a woman. They can smell your fear and lack of self confidence and its a turn off man. Just friggin go out and have fun. Dont even think about trying to meet the woman of your dreams and I'll bet it happens sooner then later. Though, when it does happen, if she cheats on you and crushes all your dreams dont come cryin back to us. [/b][/quote]
hehehe, a buddy of mine said the same thing. I think I'd be ok with it if he looked like Tom Cruise, Randy Orton, or Cowperson or something, but ugh... mia-hee, mia-hoo, mia-haa, mia-haa-haa! (I've been told "to Hell, straight to it, no stops, no pee breaks" for that comparison, along with the fact it's amazingly accurate. I cant' see his stomach but this fatatard might be a bit bigger.
Actually this feeling comes and goes. Yesterday, this morning worried about it, but for a few weeks it didn't really phase me all that much. Was like "meh, whatever", usually if something like that bothers me there's other stuff going on and it's an easy release to vent about.
Thanks for the link Captain Crunch, I'll look it over tomorrow (stupid homework)
I won't get into it here, but there's been alot of illness in the family over the past month. So if I get p*ssed over female situation, NHL hockey, or the fact that Wendy's sucks (which it doesn't I just have to say) it's not because I'm really p*ssed at what I'm yelling about (generally never is... which isn't healthy, but meh)

Jon, buddy, if that's what this is about, I can reassure you it doesn't have a thing to do with strength or weight or apperance. This kind of thing drives me crazy because I kept thinking the exact same things you are right now about girls when I was your age. Now, granted, I'm only 4 years older, but the change that came in that time for me was literally, no word of a lie, a complete 180. I hope it comes for you too, but I can tell you that your point about weight is nonsense.
I'm 5-10 and weigh about 180. And there's no fat my man. I frame houses for a living. We lift and bend and climb all day long and it gets you in damn good shape. The only thing I could do to improve it is to be at the gym, but when you get a work-out like that for 10 hours a day, is it necessary? Anyway, my point is this. I'm not hulking, but I'm a pretty strong guy and at the age of 27, I've never in my life had a girlfriend. So right there you should know it's not that. I said all the same things you are, trying to draw attention, trying to figure out what it was, up until the last year or so.
You have to deal with you first and make yourself feel like #1 before it's even a good idea to get involved if you ask me. Believe in yourself. No girl, regardless of looks, your bank account, the car you drive, how nice or not nice you are, none of them are attracted to anything that shows a lack of confidence.
You know how dogs can sense fear? When I was a kid my uncle had this dog and it knew I was scared of it. Everytime it saw me, it attacked me. I can't count on my fingers how many times they had to pull that thing off of me. When I finally realized that, and stuck my foot into that dogs rib cage it never bothered me again. Same sort of situation with an older cousin of mine. Almost everyday on the breezeway at school in elementary she would pinch my cheeks and I hated it but never would do anything about it. When I finally slapped her hands down one day, she never did it again. Listen, I've got at least 5, maybe 10 more stories like that. What it comes down to is if you're not willing to stand up for yourself and show confidence in yourself, people will run you over your entire life and girls will overlook you. Regardless of if you are a 90lb weakling, or a 250lb body builder. If you don't believe in yourself, no one else will either.
Women can sense that lack of confidence just like that dog could sense my fear. And that's not meant to be derogatory in any way, it's just a fact. That's why you're not getting the girl and that's why I never got one either. Once you get past worrying about all this "how can I gain weight", "what am I not saying right", "how can I impress her", "what can I do to change things", then it will fall into place. Pretty much every girl I've ever known, when having this conversation, tells me the same thing. "It will happen when you least expect it." And it makes sense when you think about it. If you are out there looking for something, there is a good chance you'll go looking in the wrong spots, for the wrong things. It becomes too misguided. If there is one thing I can promise you, it's that you need to just slow down and enjoy life and let it all come to you. Being single is great. I wouldn't exchange it for anything right now. I wish more young guys like yourself could see that. You're only 23, you've got so much time to figure all that stuff out. She's out there buddy, there's no doubt, it will happen when you are ready and not before. You just have to stop thinking about it and stop worrying about it and just let her come to you. She will man, I can guarantee it. And the longer you wait and the more time you give yourself to find out more about yourself, the better you will be for her. Trust me man, I'm coming from the same frame of mind as you.

I dunno if they have GNC's (General Nutrition Center) in Canada but that is definitely the place to go. They'll hook you up with a diet to get where you want. You can buy the stuff right there, and for the most part it's relatively inexpensive.

Don't go to GNC. Those tools make a commission so it is in their best interest to sell you all kinds of expensive gimmicky crap that you don't need.

I've found this too. I went there, the guy asked what kind of build I want and then he tried to sell me 5 or 6 things. They just want your money.
