We had about 60 in Rocky Ridge. Warmer weather and busier than last year.
Side note: People, stop buying Wagon Wheels! We received a half dozen that will be frozen and used for pond hockey.

We had about 50 or so. Almost ran out of candy.
Great costumes this year.

We had two kids come by early on. Signature Parke.
It's too bad. Any kid that comes by our road would get loaded down with candy.

About 100 kids this year in Copperfield. I think that is less than last year, which is surprising considering the nice weather tonight.

I gave this little girl a full box of chocolates; she couldn't wipe the smile off her face. Barely had any kids come, lots of candies left!

Asked our neighbors and they said it's very rare there are kids that come around on our street, so we didn't buy any candy and went out instead.

Is trick or treating becoming a thing of the past? Barely saw any "older" kids (I.e. able to go without adults); just little kids with their parents. Are kids 8-12 not interested in candy? Too much work? Lazy???

Also worth noting that I FINALLY encountered a house giving out full size chocolate bars this year. Never as a kid did I ever get lucky, despite the whispers and mentions of those mythical houses that gave them out.
At 5 & 2 did my kids even realize just how amazing it was? I feel like their fathers enthusiasm in the moment was completely lost on them.

Only got a handful of kids this year in North Glenmore Park despite full decorations and spooky music outside. I'm too close to Garrison Woods where the homes are soooo close together.

After talking to my friends, 4 of them were set up to have kids come to their houses...and only one got kids at all. At that, they only got about 10. I was starting to wonder if trick or treating is becoming a thing of the past ,then read about folks on here with 100+ people showing up.

10 kids overall for us -- brand new neighborhood (Redstone) so we weren't expecting any at all, that was kind of cool. Will likely only go up as the years go on.

That's all we've given out the last number of years. For the amount we get its just as easy to pick up a pack of full sized bars. Plus when pur token 0-3 show up O'm not getting annoyed opening a package for every bite.
The trick is neighbourhoods and houses that don't get many kids give out the best treats. However, the cost-benefit analysis shows you'll likely make it up in volume in the bigger subdivisions.

We had about 30 kids come to our house in Glendale. I took my daughter over to a few friends in Killarney and it looked way busier over there. Lots of Elsas.

I wondered this myself. Part of me thinks that kids are getting so much at home these days that there isn't that desire to go out and stockpile candy for themselves. When I was young, our parents rarely bought us junk food and so on Halloween, we would be out with pillowcases making multiple trips.
Maybe there are other reasons why kids aren't as enthused, but that's just my take on it.

Last year I had maybe 20 kids.
This year I know I had ~300 candies to give out, and I was giving each kid 3 each, and I probably have about 50 left. So somewhere around 70+ kids in a Harvest Hills cul-de-sac (some kids got 4 :3).
Was weird timings too. Didn't see a single kid until the hockey game was starting (grumble) and they came in 20 minute burts until ~9:30.

I kinda wonder what the whole "helicopter parent" thing has to do with it, too. Are parents taking kids to malls or 'only' out to houses they 'trust'?
