What a freaking win!
And I couldn't be happier that it was against the Hawks.

2 goalies with a few elite goaltending performances so far only 5 games in. When is the last time the Flames had this kind of luxury?

And as a bonus, Sportsnet cuts over just in time to see the Oilers blow their lead.

Oddly in the post game summary, the view they used clearly showed a high stick on that tip, but it wasn't shown during the game.

I'm happy we won and all, but Gaudreau's TOI was only 10:31 and Monahan was only 15:36. Why is does Hartley bury them on the bench so much? Watch the Oilers and they let their young guys play! Draisaitl and Yak both played over 14 minutes yesterday! Hartley should call up Baertschi and let him, Monahan and Gaudreau just focus on offense.

I met Michael Backlund and his gf at work about a month ago. I asked him if he's gonna get 30 goals and 30 assists this year, he laughed and said he's been working hard and he'll try, then his gf said he's going to
That's the whole story

Hiller was good but man he runs around a lot. Chicago missed at least 5 open nets.

The Flames won against Chicago, on the road, on the 2nd night of back to backs, after being horribly outplayed for most of the game, and with the refs giving no help all night?
Of course they did.

Get outshot by Chicago 50 - 18 and you might win 1 game in 25.
But man, that 1 game is fun.

Hillers save % goes from .901 -> .934 from that game, not that it means that much, but we have that and ramo on .934 as well...
Pretty good start to the season for our goalies!
