Even with Colborne off to a great start, him and Johnny don't seem to have a lot of chemistry. I wish he was back on Monahan's wing (with Setoguchi scratched) and Stajan centered between Gaudreau and Raymond. 4th line doesn't seem the best fit for him and then McGrattan could slot into line 4.

Just kidding. Give him another chance to see if this suck is really him or just rust I guess. Leash will likely be short I'd guess
The line listed first does not make it "the 1st line". This team has no "1st line". Which ever group is going the best seems to get the majority of favourable icetime, regardless of who the players are. Seems to coincide with the often mocked quotation just fine to me.

For me the Backlund line seems to be the one that is put up against the other teams top line, so I'd put it as the nominal first line. Part of our problem is that Backlund missed training camp and seems to be taking a while to round into form. If he has a good game tonight, we have a chance.
So, where is the candlelight vigil for Scorch tonight?

Yeah, no doubt whoever Backlund is playing with will be against the tough competition. When I said favourable matchups I meant who ever is showing to be most impressive in their roles will get the ozone starts, the PP opportunities, faceoffs after icings etc.. If that's Backlund and his group, great. If it's anyone else, it's also great. None of the young players on the team should be pidgeoned-holed into any roles yet. The talent is raw and earned opportunities will eventually have people separating themselves.
