say what you will about Garth Snow, but bringing in Halak, Grabovski, Kulemin, Leddy and Boychuk in one summer is at least bold GMing. Certainly bolder than anything those scrubs up north have done.

I think that's a solid deal for the Isles. Pokka is a great prospect, but you have to give in order to get. Brennan and Nilsson were buried on the depth chart - no big losses there.
I think Snow is a terrible GM in general, but in terms of the on ice product, he has made this team a lot better today. Sabres fans are having a pretty rough day I imagine

I dont know much about any of these guys, did the Isles just pick up Leddy for spare parts and Pokka?

Ya that's a good hockey trade. Isles get better now, Chicago gets a player in Pokka who really could end up just as good as Leddy, and gets them out of their cap troubles for this season. Win/Win for sure.

That is a pretty good upgrade on D today for the Isles. I do not think they'll be anywhere near the McDavid sweeps now.

pretty much. Nilsson couldn't outperform Poulin and old Nabokov last season and now has bolted to the KHL after they got Halak and Johnson ... so absolutely no loss for the Isles. Brennan had an unbelievable AHL season, but hasn't done anything in the NHL when he was with the Sabres and Panthers. Plus the Isles have tons of defensemen in their system.

If by stud you mean a possible 2nd pairing guy I totally agree. He most certainly will not be as good as Leddy.
