listening to JG interviews they are talking like the guys had a 30 game goal-less drought

With the injuries to Jones and Raymond, I don't see how you don't keep Gaudreau and Baertschi here to start the season. Things get murkier when everyone gets healthy.

I thought that Ferland, Jooris, and Bouma were the best of our bottom six tonight. I expect Reinhart and Arnold will be sent to Addy soon. Culkin and Acolatse will go as well, but that will be dependent on the health of Smid and Potter.

Sven and Johnny both deserve to be in the lineup next Thursday.

Sven's new mean streak is great to see. Bouma is a fricken wrecking ball. Jooris had a really strong game.

Was at the game. JG made consistently noticeable plays. Simple smart exit passes along the boards in the d zone, awesome passes when on offence, and of course his excellent goal.

Kid just cemented his spot on the opening day roster. No doubt in my mind.

Other mentionables:

Colborne looked great; big, strong, good vision.

Monahan struggled tonight.

Sven won some good battles, made a few good passes.

Diaz........

really wish Wotherspoon was healthy.

The past few years he hasn't played in the NHL, if he makes the teams he will go stretches without scoring...even the best do. A few games is not a drought

not trying to argue I am as excited as the next guy...just found it odd people were talking like he was in some kinda slump or something.
