Hey a smart reporter would research their work, would they not? Pretty stupid if you ask me.

The point is a good one. It doesn't reflect well on CP if the quality of criticism against local media is what you posted

Of which I expanded on after. My point is very valid, as a member of the media he is allowed to be criticized and he would be criticized less is he actually did a good job of reporting. Most people take anything Millions says with a grain of salt because it seems either he hasn't checked facts or it's like he has taken a page from Eric Francis and made something out to be much worse than it actually was.

In injury news that probably surprised no one Dany "All-Star" Heatley is already out a week with a groin injury. You would think the fact that he's barely hanging onto the NHL by a thread would a sign to Heater to start treating matters seriously, but looks like once again he's proven otherwise. I could honestly see him either retiring of ending up in the DEL next year if he doesn't impress with the Ducks.

Millions seems like a good guy. I've lurked this site for years and only recently started up an account. I've read his contributions over the years and thought it was pretty cool to have a member of the media posting on here. It gave the site a unique view it otherwise would not have. Hopefully Roger posts here again, I valued his insights, he has access to the team no one else has here, non-anonymously. Hopefully Roger doesn't let a few stupid comments paint the site poorly, it would be cool to see him, and others like him, post in the future.

Wait, now Setoguchi is injured? Wow, both Devin and David Jones are going to make the team by virtue of being unable to be sent down (put on waivers) due to injuries.

Sorry if it already got posted, but what actually happened to Jones? I joked about him getting hurt in pre-season a couple weeks ago, but I didn't think it was going to happen this soon.

Nope, just a generic comment.

Both have taken some grief this preseason on CP, and it turns out they might make the team not based on their play......

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Couple other injury updates: Setoguchi has a "little injury" while Granlund is currently under NHL concussion protocol. #Flames

One final injury note on Sam Bennett. Hartley wouldn't be specific on what the injury is, but says it's not serious. #Flames

Hartley said Bennett injury isn't related to his groin, but wouldn't get into specifics. “All over body," the coach said. #Flames

Two minor injuries already for Bennett suggests sending him back down juniors is probably the best bet. He has NHL talent now, but you don't want him getting dinged up all year long.

Counter to that though, I'm not surprised Bennett is getting banged up. He's been playing balls to the wall, trying to make the team. I don't think that should reflect too poorly on him. Management is way more careful with injuries this time of year, and even the veterans injure themselves on the dumbest stuff (pancakes being one of them), as they come into camp.

It's the way he plays. He had a separated shoulder and two groin injuries last year in junior.
