My plan is to take my 2 oldest to their first game. They'll be 7 and 5 this year. It will be a big deal for us to come down from Edmonton to do so. It's important to me that they see what a real hockey team and organization look like from the outset.

I am excited to see the flames youth. I know we got to see some of it last year but I think it will be more prevalent this season. I am not expecting a winning record but somewhere around .500 will be a huge success to me.

-Johnny Gaudreau starting on the big team after Christmas and averaging a point per game.
- Poirier playing eventually and tearing it up with his speed.
- Oilers playing well enough to severely miss the playoffs but well enough to miss getting a good draft pick.
- Fake Monahan tweets
- Hopefully no more McCain pizza ads on PBP broadcasts mow that they sold that business to Dr. Oetker.
- Generally, the season starting

I'm excited to watch the kids and hopefully they bring an exciting attacking game. My football (soccer) team is Dundee United in the SPFL and they have a reputation of bringing on young, exciting kids and playing entertaining attacking football. Occasionally they freak out and have a bad game, which is only to be expected with a team of youngsters, but generally people are excited about coming out to watch them, interest in the team is high and crowds are up. Dundee United are far from the most glamourous team in the world but they make their fans proud and are on the up. Kind of like the Flames.

All our prospects. Mainly Gaudreau. Hopefully Bennett and Klimchuk at WJC. Hopefully at least one surprise rookie. Trades. McDavid or Eichel being Flames. Hanifin as a consolation prize is ok as well.

There are few things as fun to be around than the Saddledome on a Battle of Alberta game-day.

Unlike our seasons with the end of the Iggy era where I stressed out about making the playoffs and felt this impending doom feeling throughout the season, now I go in with no expectations for where we end up and get to see a young and exciting group of players.
I didn't get NHL network last year because I lost interest and with the 7hr difference in time zones made it difficult to watch, but this year I am paying gladly and can't wait to check out all the youth and the excitement of seeing what they can do.

I nominate you to be the next PMM. We all need someone to update us on the farm situation as that's where our future is.

Just games, I miss having games to watch...summer is always tough for me. I don't watch any other sports on TV really...a little golf if I have time, World Cup maybe, but that's about it.
In terms of the Flames...there is a ton of stuff to be excited about. Watching the kids develop, who is going to make the big club, the goaltending situation, how much impact are Raymond and Wolff going to have.... lots of reasons to get fired up.

Some good answers. Yup I'm also looking forward to seeing baertschi get a chance and see what he can do. I still kinda think the number change to 27 means he probably gets a shot this year.

-Baertschi making the team out of camp and having a great season to prove the doubters wrong
-Gaudreau lighting up the AHL and then joining the flames in early December to light up the NHL as well
-Monahan avoiding the sophomore slump and putting up 25+ goals along with becoming yet another great 2-way center for the flames
-giordano winning the Norris trophy
-glencross scoring 30 goals for the first time in his career
-Bennett and klimchuk winning gold at the world juniors
-Oilers being at the bottom of the league by November and "Taylor Hall wants out" rumours starting to spread
-Iginla scoring 30+ goals once again

Gaudreau, Granlund making the team.
Hiller getting back into form and shaking off last season.
Hudler putting up 60+
Backlund continuing to get better and puts up 50 points this year.
