Fleury looks great, wish Brodie would rush the puck like that more often

Chase gets hit high and throws a punch back.

Gets the only penalty. Not a good call.

I'm not too confident that Bennett will make the team. A couple of players will have to make the NHL for that to happen. Maybe he could slot in as a winger.

He didn't get a lot of ice time, but I thought he was solid in this one showing - and keep in mind that it is just one exhibition showing. His OHL season will be the determining factor.

I see Reinhart playing in the NHL this season. He looks strong enough to be NHL ready and looks too good to stay in junior. You can tell the difference in strength between he and Bennett - Reinhart's trained for and played three junior seasons compared to Bennett's two.

Domi, Dal Colle, Horvat, Lazar, Ritchie, and Petan could also make their respective teams in the fall.

Ryan Rishaug ‏@TSNRyanRishaug

Saw Ekblad after the game walking around, joking with teammates. Seemed ok, update coming

Was anyone able to find a boxscore for the game? I'm curious of the TOI and points for everyone.

It will truly be a shock if he's not on the team.

People might be taking a mid August scrimmage a little too seriously. Bennett will be on the WJC team, and I would bet more than likely centring the top line if Reinhart sticks with the Sabres.

When he's tearing up the OHL come November, this camp will be long forgotten.

I liken this camp to...a summer camp, where Hockey Canada evaluates talent and also where moving pieces may fit. Bennett may become more of a role player if he makes the team. Just drafted, and his first camp of this calibre? I'm fine with that.

But it's very undetermined where he will slot in. That's where the first half or less of Juniour hockey really helps determine things. I think he will grow in confidence from the Flames development and main camp, and then the Juniour camp in December. By that time, with a little added muscle and maturity, we could very well see this young man really come onto the scene. Not to mention tearing it up with Kingston some more. He's got a pretty good man to lean on there in his protege, Gilmour, too. I think he has been and will continue to help mold him into a very good NHL'er.

My two cents. I believe both he and Klimchuk can be very valuable two way players for team Canada. They can slot up and down the lineup very well, and in Bennet's case, center as well as wing, which may give him the edge.

I hope Klimchuk convinces Mcdavid to sign with the flames next summer. Thats how it works I think?

I think Bennett and Klimchuk will make Calgary a good sell for Connor.

Won't really change the draft standings but at least McDavid's going home immediately to mom and dad McDavid and saying, "Mom, Dad....I want to play for Calgary and I want to be a Calgary Flame."

Bennett's a lock IMO. Klimchuk is in tough however, so much depth at LW.

Ekblad will miss the rest of Summer camp with a concussion:

Sounds like it is mostly precautionary.
