He's got an amazing voice and game call, that's what's still good about him. His attention to detail and ability to follow the play have severely diminished.

The people that are saying the still want to hear him and still think he's really good despite his mixing up of player names and sometimes not even noticing really big chances etc, is fine.

But you can't say with a straight face that he's "Still got it". He doesn't. What he does have is a captivating voice that is awesome to listen to, but it comes with lots of errors and missing of key plays.

Exactly this. It used to be comical even 15 years or so ago.

Sundin dances across the line......He shoots he scores.... Stevie Yzerman puts the Red Wings up 1-0 oh baby we have a hockey game here. If you had your back turned to pour a drink or grab a bag of Old Dutch that's all you heard. You were left thinking what the hell just happened. But he has one of the best voices and so easily recognizable I think it was a good decision.

Great news that he will be back. I don't care that he mixes things up. I have eyes and I know how to follow the play. I want the nostalgic feelings being drummed up by listening to him while following said plays with my eyes.
