I think he stays in Boston. But I don't see Boston doing as well next season as they did this year. Chara looked tired and old at various points this series and I think he will regress a bit more next season. It seems as Chara goes, the team goes. But they will remain competitive as long as he is around.
Just goes to show how hard it is to win the cup. I really hoped this year was his year, but alas another season goes by without Iggy getting his cup.

Bruins were interested in keeping him, but not sure if they feel the same away after an early exit.
Kings, only if they don't keep Gaborik. Gaborik has fit in nicely so far though.
Flyers might not be a bad idea. They always find ways of getting players under the cap.

Sheer amount of hate for Iggy in that thread nakes me very sad.

Iginla probably plays another season in Calgary before he retires, but not for a couple of years...

Boston, but if not there, I could see Detroit making him an offer. With both Alfredson and Bertuzzi question marks for next season Iggy would fill a big hole in their roster.

Signs in Calgary to replace Cammy, Puts up 60 Pts. Trade at deadline to a contender for a Late 1st. Be entertained, and cash in a 2nd time.

Iggy scores their only goal of game seven and hits the post in the third... and he's the goat?
Mind bogglingly bottling.

He's a good fit in Boston. That Lucic-Krejci-Iginla line is a legit 1st line, and next year I think they'll be even better.
Iggy isn't going to be worried about Boston fanboys ragging on him on Internet forums.
2 factors:
- Contender
- Money
I think he'll re-sign with Boston, but where else would be a good fit? California maybe: Anaheim (Selanne replacement)? LA (reunited with D. Sutter)? Perennial challengers SJ?

It's too bad, because I have always had a soft spot for the Bruins going back to the playoffs against the Oilers. I have had trouble liking them with some of the personalities on that team lately, and now many of their fans are ruining it too.

Would be pretty sweet if he did sign with the Sharks and won the cup with Marleau and Thornton. A Marleau - Thornton - Iginla line would be just as deadly as the K-I-L line.
Iggy could easily get 30 goals again with Thornton as center.

I think he stays with the Bruins. He has chemistry. They are still a good team
Remember when we thought Iggy was going to be traded to the B's and one of the returns was Bartowski?
Bruins fans on HF seem to have rated him the worst performer:

Yeah I think he sticks it out in Boston for another season or two. Seems like it's a good fit for him and jumping to another contender really is a crap shoot. No guarantee that any other "contender" does better next year really.
Heck all the "experts" have been calling for St. Louis & San Jose to really light it up for the last 2-3 years, and both have fallen flat, as has Pittsburgh, so from what I can see there's very few contenders that look much stronger than Boston on paper. And that's not accounting for his play style.

I thought Iginla was the best Bruin by a fair margin last night.

Boston needs to make room for Iggy. Iggy was worth it, and I think they sign him to a 2 year, 5.5M AAV.

Didn't it eventually work for Hasek and Chelios in Detroit?
A LOT of people tried to make it work in Detroit during that age, a few succeeded if I remember.
As for Iggy, I think he stays in Boston. Not sure how many teams want him to be honest (at his salary), but it seems Boston is happy with him.
Unfortunately, I think Boston is on the wane. Chara losing a step is a huge blow to the organization.

Why are people here linking/getting riled up about what HF writes? You guys do know that you are mostly quoting/arguing with teenagers over there? Who cares what a bunch of teenagers think about him.
