I think of all those names, only Knight really has a shot there, and even that is iffy. Does he take the place of a Reinhart or a Backlund? I just don't see it.

I'd put Van Brabant in with those who have a chance. I liked the way he used his body and he didn't seem to be star struck like a lot of rookies.
He has size and some uh, truculence.

Was just daydreaming a bit and I was thinking that if the Flames were able to sign Kevin Hayes in the off-season and kept most of the ELC guys down on the farm the forward units would be pretty stacked with interesting prospects:

Reinhart - Granlund - Poirier
Baertschi - Knight - Ferland
Gaudreau - Arnold - Hayes
Van Brabant - Bancks - Hanowski

I agree, I think Van Brabant has a good chance at replacing Westgarth in the line-up. He'll probably have to learn how to fight if wants to play in the NHL, but judging by his PIMs in the AJHL prior to college he's probably no rookie in that department.

The Heat/Baby Flames will quickly become offensive juggernauts with Gaudreau, Arnold and Poirier added to the mix.

I was wondering also. Hopefully a couple of you CPers who follow the prospects more might speculate where Kevin Hayes would fit in our depth chart.

seems like Hayes wants to play somewhere where he gets an immediate chance to play in the NHL

I was also thinking about what the farm would look like with Hayes added and I actually drew up the identical top 9!

But I added Wolf as well and actually had Van Brabant and Hanowski on the 5th line (Agostino-Street-Wolf) which is insane when you think about it.

They could start the season with 10 forwards, 5 D, and a goalie that have already played in the NHL

Obviously a couple guys will likely be with the big club (and more during injury stretches) but the farm team is going to be insanely good next year.
