And then what do we do when/if Chicago beats the winner of this series? Adjust our draft strategy another way? The size thing is important, but it's becoming overrated. We need a balance everywhere, I'd much rather sign big bodied filler and draft the best possible player regardless of size.

Fair enough.....but I think we can both agree that we need to get much bigger than we are right now.

http://mirtle.blogspot.ca/2013/10/20...eight-and.html

Calgary is 28th in height and weight.

Chicago is 13th in height and 16th and weight.

We have a way to go.

EDIT: Phoenix is 4th and 6th. I assume we are going to be moving up these rankings with Treliving as GM.

Minnesota is 27th and 29th
Montreal is 30th and 22nd

I'd have to check but I'm pretty sure both are currently playing in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

And Chicago is right in the middle of both.

I think we need to get bigger, but I don't want our organization going tunnel vision on size.

Chicago was the 20th heaviest and 29th tallest team last year, so there's that...

I doubt the Penguins and Red Wings were all that big either.

It would also be interesting to see where Boston stands without Chara skewing the average.

What a goal by Selanne, such nice hands. I know he is getting old but there is no way he should have been a healthy scratch against Dallas.
