I can't find my set anymore, but I remember bringing in my Crossbows & Catapult set to our homeroom during a Christmas assembly concert, and making so much noise that they said they heard us in the gym where everyone was singing. Lots of fun.

I was visiting family for Easter and went by my old elementary school while there, and the first thing I thought of when I saw the playground was kids playing with Devil Sticks back in the day. I wonder if they still exist in some way today?
