So I plan to vote before the Mafia has time to plan. Right now they haven't had time to plan and hopefully similar mistakes to last time occur. I am voting initially based on people left alive in the last game at the end who are playing again. Seems as good as criteria as any
The only drawback is possibly eliminating a previously active experienced player who is town but it promotes fairness in that people who didn't play or who went out early last time get a chance to play longer. I don't think we should railroad anyone but testing reactions seems like a good place to start.
So my choices for the first vote are the following
UndercoverBrother (UC)
Agulati
Activestick
Since Activestick had the coolest role last time I will vote for him but I am open to changing to anyone else who has better logic.
Vote: Activestick

I'm very likely going to stick with my criteria of voting out an inactive person. I suppose odds aren't terrible of voting out a Mafia member at this point but currently it's closer to blindluck and going after an inactive player would seem to be the least detrimental if they do end up being town.

This seemed to be a good approach in the last game.

I'm not sure I agree with this. Voting based off length in last game doesn't make sense over voting based off accurate observation or in-activity. Why should someone who isn't contributing stay over someone who we think could be mafia or length of their time in the last game?
I appreciate you want to move quick since it worked a few times for us last game, but the hammer can't drop before 10pm tomorrow. At this point all we can do is hope the mafia slip up before then.

I suppose you're all wondering why I gathered you here today. Except I didn't. Or did I?
I suppose some of you think that murder is cool, because all the cool kids and the rappers and the particle physicists are doing it. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that particle physicists are nature's monsters. Well, I'm here to tell you that I don't think murder is cool. It's bad for your health. I don't want anyone to be murdered. OR DO I?!
Well, let's kill some mafia scum. That's not murder, it's justice. Or is it??? Nobody knows! Certainly not me! Normative beliefs surrounding justice are highly subjective and are based on a personal set of beliefs derived from personal experience, genetic predisposition and societal norms in one's cultural and social sub-group. At least that's what I read once in a fortune cookie.
Crazy Bacon Legs twirls his villain mustache and cackles maniacally. But then the mustache falls off. It was a fake! It was all a ruse to convince the mafia he was their friend. OR WAS IT?!

Poster inactivity should be one criteria, but not a guiding principle.
Who or what people did last game should be irrelevant except where someone gives a tell based on what we already know about their personalities. Just IMHO.
One scumtell is, posting but not actually helping.

From the previous game, there were about 5 posters whose 'playerness' were never in doubt (and correctly so). A few of these players are now likely scum.
We have to make sure to give those same players a clean slate, for our sake. They will continue with the same posting style, and it will be hard to separate their words from last their actions last game.
Besides that, good luck to everyone in the first Day!

Who promised alcohol and didn't deliver? You better believe that's a lynchin'!
Was it Captain? That guy is always drinking all the booze. It's like he's running some sort of racquet or... Mafia.

On Day one before any vote is cast we have no information to go off of. So any method of selecting someone is going to have about the same probability of netting scum. As I said I am perfectly open to switching as votes and defenses pile up and we have more information but the only way we can get info is by voting for someone.
I should also clarify I don't want to lynch fast but putting votes to people and establishing voting patterns and reactions should provide useful down the road so getting some votes in early should drive discussion.
