i for one am happy that conroy got absolutely grilled by boomer and his old pal rhett. that was the most informative interview we are going to get all year. and thanks especially to boomer who asked just cringe worthy questions to get direct answers out of conroy.
also everybody likes good guy conny, so great that he's who we sent out to go get gaudreau signed.

You complain about CP and then state "everyone" when it's like a few people talking about Rhett.

Rhett is great, nice to have a former Flame on the radio.
From what Connie said, Sven started to believe he was the next face of the franchise. It looks to me that the tough love approach adopted by the organization is the way to go for the sake of the kid and Flames. We don't want to go Oiler and end up with one dimensional entitlement case.

okay maybe the point i was making is eluding you, i'll give it another go.
i expected the thread would be longer what with all the juicy information and frank answers from conny.
-beatschi needs to do it himself "he's in control of everything"
-jankowski doesn't win many puck battles
-insider stuff about how the gaudreau signing wasn't a slam dunk
-craig's appraisal of some of the top prospects
-team likely worse next year
-conroy not in the conversation for gm
-says burke is easy to work for, lets you do your job
-Johnny was late to the contract dinner meeting "just don't be late for bob"
-sounds disappointed in the move from abby
-confirms cammy won't re-sign
-rhett says the hockey from 2004 run looks terrible
-conroy and rhett rip carey fraser "he really cost us"
-backlund won the fitness testing
-eichel might be better than mcdavid
you know, good stuff..
but by all means lets keep talking about how listenable rhett is.

I like that I'm not the only one in the world drinking the Jack Eichel Kool-Aid. That kid looks scary good.

The most interesting thing Conroy said was about Draisiatl.
After talking about his style, limitations, and skillset, he says "we'd be happy with him at 4".
Obviously things can change, but I'm starting to believe it will be whoever out of Ekblad, Reinhart, Bennett, and Draisaitl is left.

Not shocking. By most reports, they really are the class of the draft.

That interview was awesome. Very entertaining. I laughed, and we also got some good information out of connie. I love listening to the fan in the mornings. Warrener is a beauty, when he is on, it is usually entertaining.

Conroy mentioned Dal Colle before Draisaitl. Don't discount him, he had a monster playoffs.

This is funny because there was like 5 or 6 posts about Rhett and the bulk of the conversation was about interview related things. Your point is eluding me because the facts are eluding you.

Rhett is great, but how can a pro-Rider fan work for the station and report on the Flames? **gasp**! That being said, Rhett seems to be hitting the law of diminishing returns when it comes to insider information and insightful analysis. It's still there, but I find what he contributes to be less informative than a couple of years ago, but maybe that's just me.
