I liked Kerr. Perhaps it was because most everybody hated and mocked him. He was quirky, pretty funny, and has a great on air personality. He will find work elsewhere andbi wish him all the best.

Won't act revisionist and moral now, I didn't like him as a pbp guy and am glad he's gone. As a man I hope he gets employed somewhere again soon.

My worry is Rogers goes even cheaper.

Big fan of Rick Ball and how he called our games on CBC. Would love to have him with us.

They just spent billions on a NHL package. I think they upgrade the TV significantly this year

Spend on the contract cut costs on the production. We're already starting to see it in their radio product.

That really sucks for them. Wish them the best.

I don't care what anyone says- I think Mark Lee is one of the best and would be ecstatic if he took over for Kerr.

Everything I have heard they are going big on TV. There is no way they can get away with their bush league regional broadcasts on the national stage.

I assume their radio division is a completely different entity than their television division. I see this as Kerr and Simmer are no longer good enough as Rogers likely poaches much orpf the CBC talent and some of the TSN

Whoever the new guy is on CBC, would love him and Hrudy.

I wonder if he can work for both networks? I don't see him leaving the CFL but he is great at NHL

Really my only problem was with Charlie Simmer. I don't mean to be an ass but he just didn't do a good job.

I have a ton of respect for Rob Kerr and I hope he is back at the Fan960 with Pat. That would make a great duo.

I LOVE Loubo but I think he is in a great spot right now alongside Peter Maher and doing spot duty on the Big Show. Almost no one knows hockey like Peter Loubardias.

Its going to be interesting who Rogers gets for all of their content next year. People keep saying they're going to spending big, but pretty much most, if not all, of the TSN guys haves signed multi year extensions with TSN.

Sign of my age. I love that every game is televised and just enjoy it. Lots of armchair twitter-backs who dig trashing the media is something I just don't understand.

Look forward to the 'new playbyplay guy is the worst ever' thread next year.

Chris Cuthbert would be amazing, but a pretty big pipe dream. It would be quite the downgrade for the guy.

I'd love to find someone like Rick Ball. That guy is really solid all around.

That is a sign of age. It's not 2001, anymore. Having all the games on TV doesn't negate any criticism.
