Fred Phelps's daughter, Margie, is seen as the current de facto leader of the church, based in Topeka, Kan. Reports indicate she has already segued into her father's role and is the person behind tweets thanking God for the Boston marathon bombings and threats to disrupt funerals of people like Steve Jobs and Whitney Houston.

I would like if a group of homosexuals showed up, and had a massive gang bang on top of his casket.

And his death should be celebrated, without any feeling of shame.

The guy is not human. He is evil in every way, and has behaved like an animal in the way he has intentionally caused pain and tried to ruin other people's lives. He's like that rabid dog that runs around town biting everyone. He's finally about to be put down.

It'll be a good day when he croaks.

Okay so we're good now right? No more hate or bigotry? All of that's over with now and we can get on with Utopia, correct?

Wait he was excommunicated?! Well @$#*!

So, excommunicated by a gang of psychopaths... where have I heard this story before...

Man I thought Shirley Phelps would have been the daughter to take over, she seemed to be the public face of that group of miscreants

The Satanic Temple Weighs In on the Impending Death of the Leader of the Westboro Baptist Church

Quote:
On the eve of Phelps’s death, I think there is much that the American public can be proud of. We can be proud not only of the strong counter-protests that followed the Westboro Baptist Church wherever they flagrantly and tastelessly displayed their disgusting malice, but also that we live in an environment where Fred Phelps was allowed to publicly spew his vindictive ideas with such infuriating and thoughtless impunity. It is infinitely better to suffer the few Fred Phelpses that will surely always exist than to live in a political environment in which odious speech is regulated by an officiating body.

And they totally have kicka$$ coffee mugs, I just ordered one so I can bring it to work and exchange knowing looks with other Satanists.

They've certainly softened the Satanic beliefs in the last 25 years.

Wonder if they still follow the eleven Satanic rules?

  1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
  2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
  3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
  4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
  5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
  6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
  7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
  8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
  9. Do not harm little children.
  10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
  11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

Re-read his bio, I didn't know know Fred was educated at PBI in Three Hills, Alberta in the 50s.

Of course the response isn't moral but it doesn't have to be.

Interesting tidbit that I wasn't aware of either. Haven't there been a couple of other nutjobs that are PBI alumni? I have this vague recollection of some others, but I might have that mixed up with another Bridal....I mean, bible school.

Wait, she's NOT?

Between this and the excommunication of Fred, sounds like a mini-coup within the WBC.

I have no proper source for this but I read that he was excommunicated so that his "church" wouldn't be held responsible for paying his medical bills. If he was still part of the church they would have to pay for everything while he's sick and dying, but if he's excommunicated then Medicare(?) would be responsible.
Again I can't say for sure if there is any truth to this or not. Perhaps someone with knowledge of the American Medical system would be able to comment more.

That makes more sense to me then some kind of death bed confession that he no longer hated gays and jews and wanted to come clean on it.

I just hope in his final days that someone gives him the rim job he has so desperately wanted all this time.
