I think the Oilers play by play guy on the radio is going to have an aneurysm with that win.

Fantastic night for the Flames as all the bottom dwellers won except the Panthers that are truly bad as not even Luongo is going to be able to stop the bleeding.

Unfortunately the biggest win we needed was the Panthers. That was the only one we didn't get.

Agreed though... 3/4 is still a fantastic OOT.

True, but with both teams having the same amount of games remaining, Luongo is a definite ace up their sleeve. With the injuries mounting for the flames, even with the effort they put in, I think Florida will pass the flames.

Plus the Florida loss tonight doesn't help the canucks, so there is that.

Oh man... that was the best Phaneuf hit I've seen in years. He demolished Riemsdyk.

Contact was initially to head, player in a defenceless position, Phaneuf has a history (2-game suspension for boarding Kevan Miller this season). Riemsdyk appears to have been injured on the play. 4-game suspension.

Quick, post something negative about Phil Kessel! Do it in white text though so he shows up and searches but can't find it

Also, can't believe Dumpsville won. This is amazing - they are actually a really good record in their last 10 games, we haven't heard a peep from the "fire Lowe" group, status quo will remain! They are truly the greatest gift to Flames fans ever.

And they've been outshot in 13 straight games (well, one was a tie) they've been outshot by an average of ten shots per game, but no one looks at those in Edmonton. Just the awesome W's

Glad to see Nashville and Carolina both win tonight. I was beginning to worry that the might fall hard like they did last year and combine for 5 wins in their final 35 games.

Edmonton is starting to look more like the tem that played at a 76 point pace last year. Now that they're all but eliminated from the playoffs, and can book their April trip to Vegas maybe they'll win a few games down the stretch.

Really the benefit for draft purposes over a long season is that the teams who shouldn't be bottom 2-3 have a chance to play their way out of it.

Yup they're getting great goaltending that will eventually regress to the mean, just like Reimer did in Toronto at the start of this season.

Or Dubnyk putting up a .920 save percent in a shortened season leading to Oilers fans thinking he was a legit starter.

That's an easy to fool media up there. And fanbase.

Is it possible to even get suspended for hitting your own teammate? Looks like he left his feet there to me.
