7 game losing streak? I'm starting to feel sorry for them. As much as I like watching all the young players on the Flames, I would like to see the Heat get some help.

So who all is out of the lineup right now?:

Byron, Granlund, Reinhart, Baertschi, Hanowski, Ferland, Knight, Wotherspoon, Sieloff, Cundari, Ortio, and MacDonald?

Come on guys, suck it up - no excuses!

We can add another. Turner Elson:

The hits just keep on coming. Elson is out after getting injured last night. ALL 9 d-man are dressed tonight. 3 will play forward.
Smith, LaFranchise and Lamb all move to Forward for tonight's game. Roy will start.

Derek Smith will play on the top line with Locke and Jooris. Lafranchise on the wing with Lyon and Lamb. Roy starts for ABB. Climie for CHI

I love the Heat, but this has just gotten comical. Derek Smith, the first line left winger!!

Coaches Comments:

- Felt the team struggled at the end of the 1st period, 3rd and 4th units and at the end of the 2nd period. Special teams didn't get the job done. 3rd period, just typical struggle and frustrated. Rested best players in last 8-10 minutes of the game as it was just that type of night.

- Haven't been good with shots on goal since Christmas. So many team changes have lost some of the higher SOG players. Lots of players also playing out of position or not at the level and mistakes are being made.

- Need to turn some players around on the tough stretch. Fix some guy's games. Would be nice to get Locke and Smith some goals and confident. Will change posture today alot. Will keep tinkering.

- All 9 Dman will dress, 3 to play forward. That's how tough it is. In his 8 years in the league, this is the toughest stretch in the AHL with callups, injuries and having to put guys into different positions.

- Need to be patient. Can't beat up the group that's learning on the fly. Lamb is trying to learn forward, this isn't where he's used to. They need to come out of the slump, but beyond that they need players back here. Not necessarily from Calgary but go out and get players this week that are playing in their proper position.

- Has 11 point advantage over 9th place with 16 games to play. Nice to have a cushion, but alot can happen in that time. Same thing happened last year. Need to get healthy or position will be lost fairly quick.

Scratch: Elson, Knackstedt (healthy), Sieloff, Ferland, Baertschi, Gillies

Starters:

Roy
Davies-SOB
Trupp-Street-Jones

3 Defencemen were injured for Chicago last night. They carry 10 defencemen but the top unit will be down a guy.

Climie (Wolves backup) given the start tonight after a great night last night.

Ouch, Chad Billins in a full cage as he lost 4 teeth last night after taking a puck to the face while sitting on the bench.

For the 4th time in 5 games, Oliver Roy has been pulled against the Wolves.

Aaron Dell goes into the game with 6 mins left in the 1st period.

Chicago has Roy's number as he's been pulled 4 times in 5 games against the Wolves, including games he played with OKC.

It's going to be tough for the Heat to comeback with their offensive guys up with the Flames.

End of 1st Period

0-3 Wolves

Shots on Goal: 5-3 Wolves

Ties lowest SOG for a period for the Heat set earlier this season.

Roy allows 2 goals on 4 shots, Dell 1 on 1.
