Is Hopkins even playing? He is seriously playing like an AHLer. They should send him back if they don't want to completely ruin him.

If I added it up right the Flames are 8-5, which doesn't include OTL's.

I've got the Flames at 8-4.

The Sabres are now 4-1 since the Olympic break.

So does Torts get another NHL job after this gig if it continues going south? Or is he done after this?

Good, keep winning! I hope they go on a crazy weird crappy team winning streak like the Islanders and Flames did earlier in the year. Hoping the Flames don't drop past 3rd drafting spot.

Its not really been noticed... but RNH hasn't come close to his rookie output in the two seasons since:

11-12 - 0.84 PPG
12-13 - 0.60 PPG
13-14 - 0.71 PPG

Eberle has also dropped off from 11-12 as well. Hall is really the only one who's progressed at all since then (at least points-wise and even he is down from last year)

Well you kind of hope he stays, don't you think? Vancouver will just blame this season on injuries and keep him, which is totally fine with me.

Go Stars!

At least if he gets fired, they'll still have to pay him for 4 more years.

I think hes done, the pure defense doesn't seem to be working for him and i think teams are gonna stop giving him the time of day.

But we're playing good as well, so it offsets in a way. The team you should really be worrying about is the Islanders. Somehow I think they'll be taking the number two spot.

His scoring isn't the problem though. He's getting fed ice time when he doesn't deserve it. Hopkins will get his points, no question about it. But the problem with him isn't his scoring. He is soft and has no idea where to be in the defensive zone. His 2 way game is non existent. But it's not the players who are bad, it's the team that makes these first overall picks leaving a lot to be desired.

Problem is, if the Sabres keeps winning it just means the Oilers chances of getting the 1st pick overall is getting better again.
