I am in as well. I have zero idea about how to invest, so this might be a way for me to learn some basics.

I think we should have everyone enter their strategy and goal at the start.
Just a simple statement like day trading to beat the TSX by 5% or penny stocks to triple my money. Or indexing to match the market.
Otherwise, if we have ten people buy penny stocks it is likely that one of them will hit big and win but that doesn't speak well of the strategy if the other nine lose everything.

Had an idea!

I'll be primarily focusing on tech stocks and holding for long-term gain. Sell here and there. And primarily trying new stuff.

I will primarily swing or position trade based on technicals and fundamentals, with some value stocks here and there, and some lottos here and there as well.

If this link works it should send everyone to the proper location so they can join from there.

EDIT: http://www.investopedia.com/simulato...listgames.aspx
If it doesn't, search for a game called 'Calgarypuck.'
password: calgarypuck2014
Late entries are allowed and most of the options were disabled so there is no minimum or maximum for a trade.

Awesome. Thanks for setting this up Azure. I'm in as "mullen1989".
Current strategy is to follow what I'm doing now with the goal of being able to cash flow my retirement "salary" through dividends in mid to large caps. Hoping to be able to hit the $70-$100K mark by the time I retire. I'm currently focusing on mid cap resource producers. I'll be entering in a similar percentage of each investment based on current holdings.
Edit: No idea if it's set up correctly. Can see tomorrow when I log-in. But for those looking to buy micro-caps and the Venture, not sure how well it's going to work. It can't find two of my top picks (POE.V and COE.V). Also not sure if it can handle debentures and corporate debt/bonds. Will dig into it tomorrow.

Yep we can change all those settings as we go along. I'll poke around a bit and see what I can find.

I have joined the game.
My goal is to not lose any money, which given my limited idea how this all really works, will be a very daunting task.

I'd totally be in for dropping the minimum stock price to a penny. Have always been curious if the many penny stock pundits here with ZOMGHypercompuglobal.v shares do anything.
Other than that - nice job - rather surprised to see that Canadian Options are supported by a site. Expect to see a reckless use of puts/calls designed to capitalize on corporate misery, hype and human suffering.

I think I need to do some reading before I get too trigger happy. I have no idea what most of the terms being used here mean.

I joined up as well! Been wanting to try one of these out for a while, this seems like the perfect chance to do so.
