Not really, no. We might pull it out, but our teams are not good as good as they were the last three Olympics. Women's Ski Half-pipe is our last other really solid shot at a gold.

Some short track finals left, but no Hamelin on the men's

How about team pursuit in the long-track?

Women have a shot at a medal in team pursuit, they're a pretty consistent top 5 team. The men might be inspired and have a fantastic race, but they have no podiums this season.

Julia Lipnitskaia falls and is currently in 5th. Pretty horrible day for Russian sports.

Man what a good day for Canada. Curlers, hockey, bobsled, all kick some butt! So awesome.

Other than the hockey/curling medals I'd say we've got good to very good chances of some type of medal in:

Womens Ski Halfpipe (Rosalind Groenewoud)
Mens Ski Cross (David Duncan, Brady Leman and Chris Delbosco)
Womens Ski Cross (Marielle Thompson, Kelsey Serwa and Georgia Simmerling)
Speedskating Womens Team Pursuit

Also, outside chances at hitting the podium in:

Speedskating Mens Team Pursuit
Short Track Mens 500m (Olivier Jean)
4 Man bobsled
Womens Snowboarding Parallel Slalom (Caroline Calve)

Well that Canadian skater Kaetlyn Osmond is quite lovely indeed. And 18.

Watched the video. Is that what their performances always look like? Just sort of incoherently rambling in balaclavas?

Anyway, it's pretty horrific that the mob of women-beating would-be vigilantes will face no punishment for this whatsoever.

She lost in the Parallel Giant Slalom - the Parallel Slalom is still to come on Friday night/Saturday morning. She's medalled in the Parallel Slalom on the World Cup circuit once this season.

Only in Russia, do you spend $51 Billion dollars, to show the world how far you've come. Only to openly tell the LGBT community to stay away, and publicly beat women with opposing opinions.

Good thing they've still got Hockey to impress us with.... oh wait.

Biathlon had a mixed relay today, 2 girls and 2 guys.

I'm surprised that more sports in the Olympics don't do this. For example it would be cool in swimming or track.

just have 2 guys and 2 girls in the 4X100 metre relay.

or how about co-ed hockey? you must have 3 guys and 3 girls on the ice at all time (including the goalie). Would you have a girl goalie and 3 guys or a guy goalie and 3 girls?

Hockey without body checking is not a spectator friendly sport, and you'd inevitably have the men playing keep away from the women of both teams. It would be a disaster
